Really? You are going down to about middle page? White arrow in the black circle? You aren't clicking an ad are you?

I didn't get that and have no account. Everyone tells me "You're no account for nothing."

Try it here.

60% - and most of that guesswork.
i simply could not match symbols to music, and had terrible trouble working out when things went up or down.

It's not unexpected. I can learn lyrics and scripts in a heartbeat, and given backing music can hold a tune no problem. But harmonies I have always had to work at. Close harmonies I've had to learn in isolation, until I'm completely confident.
I have no real ear for music.

I thought the test was kind of fun.

I scored a 95% but was really surprised at that.

I just made random guesses, none of it made any sense to me. I got 35%. Afterwards I re-read the instructions, if you can call them that, and I think it is more about "decoding" their symbol shorthand and less about any type of synesthesia.

What do I know?

I know I have perfect pitch and I have excellent musical memory, I don't know about those other things though.

This. The whole concept of synesthesia is that it is fairly unique for each person who experiences it--one might very strongly sense a certain sound or concept as blue, while another might be just as sure that the same input equaled square. It is definitely not about a one-to-one correlation of pictures shifting upward a bit to represent higher pitches. That's called musical notation.

I saw similarities in the shapes and the music's path. like...there were two parts of the music; one was rising in pitch, and the other falling, the one with corresponding shapes was the right one. or there were 3 parts to the music, and three shapes in the right choice. I did have to guess on a couple though because i wasn't getting any association.

I bet if I were in college and stoned on some sensimilla I would have nailed it. I saw similar shapes listening to Heartbeat City on my Walkman, back in the glory days of "good shit."

But you know, this test? I don't even get it. I think it's a social experiment.

I wasn't sure how the test worked at first, so I flubbed the first two, I probably really score above 90%.

Yes, I have a musical background.

But of course, I am exceptional anyway.

This time I listened and concentrated.
I had to replay them, but I did not guess.

80%

Pitch discrimination: 73.9%
Musical memory: 83.5%
Contour discrimination: 84.3%
Attention: 79.6% [I dispute this]
Musical/visual abstraction: 74.0%

I still can't make out the different lines in music of even my most favourite songs though, singing along with whoever takes the lead. I was trying to puzzle out a duet once and my friend said, "It's easy - she follows the line of the organ here..." I've listened again countless times and can't even discern the organ. Then again, he's a sound engineer.
