croc 2: i swear, i'm going to go over there and kick his ass!
croc 1: no no... just leave him be... hey, let's mess up his data!
croc 2: haha! yeah, let's go try to dance ballet with the hippos.

I knew a prof who studied these electric catfish from Africa. The fish communicated with these low-power electric fields. No one had ever recorded them mating, so this prof and his grad student brought a bunch back, and spent a lot of time and effort simulating their habitat. The fish finally seemed ready to mate, and they had all this sophisticated electric-detection gear to record the courtship behavior.

And then the male started to sing to the female. With these low-pitched croaking sounds.
