I liked her, she never said anything offensive to me.
Jeez some people here are so sensitive.

Well, obvious troll, but ... things have been quiet around here lately, the northern summer has you all outdoors. We could have done some for a while first. Just for, you know, research.

Ahem.
The Olympics has us all indoors.
That and torrential rain.

Ahem, ahem.

The frigging HEAT has us all indoors.

And, well, the Olympics, too.

Too much Olympics. Already I'm on overload. Sitting there in front of the TV with NBC's coverage on and with the laptop open on the coffee table streaming BBC1's coverage.

I overdid it yesterday. Being a couch potato watching the best athletes in the world being active is both entertaining and really depressing.

I went outside at 8PM to water some grass seed and it was so beautiful out. So I locked the door behind me and went for a walk about two miles through back neighborhoods to the local mom and pop ice cream place for a cone. What a nice evening and so good to get moving a little bit.

My village looks like fucking Midwich or something. Eerily quiet. Very few people out and about.

Yesterday I took Carrotchops to the playing field and little park and there was not one single child in sight. Midmorning during the summer holidays and not one child, parent, footballer, dogwalker in sight.

Yeah, on my walk last night, it was awesome. Normally I have to wait for traffic on a lot of the streets, but there was nobody around. Even the main roads only had one or two cars on them. Didn't have to wait for any lights to cross the street.

And the line at the ice cream place normally has about a dozen people in it, but there were only 4 people in front of me.

You can take your laptop outside, you know.

Just watched the diving.
What a shame. What a loss.

Talking bout all those muscular young men in tiny briefs I will never meet of course.

Family Fun Day at the Vale Park on Wednesday.
No rain predicted. Huzzah!
Last time I was there was for the Vale Schools Olympic Event, in monsoon conditions. We were the only school that brought gazebos (?!) but even then our kinder had to sit on plastic bags as the ground sheets looked like WWI battlefields within 10 minutes.

And the worms! The worms!
I'm not especially squeamish. Well, okay I am but I hide it well. I rescue worms when they are drowning or crisping. But every cm of ground was coated in them. The rain, the pounding of feet and the music brought them all up to the surface. You could not tread but you trod on worms. I just had to avert my gaze and carry on.

So yes. Am looking forward to a reletively worm free 1st August.
Have hijacked Tiger's family.
Outdoors time for me - yay!

ETA - cleaned all the inside windows today. That will do for exercise. Almost as good as falling off a horse.

oh, so I went to bastard factory to see what we were being compared to.....

And was immediately confronted with a banner ad for penis enlargement. A huge boner in the eye.

Not cool.

I got VirtuaGirl. Apparently she lives and strips on my desktop.
She'd bloody better not, some slapper's crusty knickers hanging off the corner of my Inbox! No thank you.

Still, they obviously target their ads well...
Wonder what Sheldon's would be? Pussy, pussy, pussy?
