it is Papa

- as is typical in birds, the male is more brightly coloured

would have been nice if she had credited the photograph's owner - he seems a bit upset that the image has been making it's way to all corners of the internet without a credit... poor bugger, live and learn

Pass sharpened oak stake sideways through the birds.

Oh for goodness' sake, keep trying. When you get it right, hang them over a slow fire and rotate regularly. They're done when their gender ambiguity falls off.
