Odds on favorite for the next Pope!

Just in case you are the betting type: Archbishop Angelo Scola is in the lead in several polls.

What? I applied! I got through the talent competition! None of the other popes could twirl a baton!

It's bullshit. Pope Contest is rigged.

Bet on a long shot

Cardinal Jorge Urosa Savino of Caracas, Venezuela.

They thought your twirling was too worldly. Now if you could get the Virgin Mary to appear in your flaming batons, you might have a shot.

Lol. My iPhone capitalized Virgin Mary for me.

They should vote for the candidate least likely to resign.

Two in a row would be bad PR.

We should start handing out lead parachutes, similar flight characteristics, but more cost efficient.

Actually, having Popes resign when they are obviously overburdened would probably do the Church a world of good. The last few years of JPII were embarrassing and stagnant.

Still, it'd be like rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic, IMHO.

Anybody hang on to the Malachy prophecy from the last conclave? What does it say about the pope after Obi Ben Palpatine?

It says the Catholic church devolved into a set of superstitions and nonsensical beliefs, unrelated to the bible, during the dark ages, and hasn't really recovered since.
