Hard to tell; but, it looks like a smooth hammer. It could be a little longer for fanning just in case you're charged by a small herd of elephants.

He doesn't draw, but, Jerry Miculek got off twelve rounds with a revolver in, I think 3.7 seconds, including a reload.

Tusks are like bayonets, for close order fighting.
But if you really want to win don't bring tusks to a gun fight.

That armament system has an Achilles' heel. It can be taken out with a derringer strapped to a mouse.

That's right, mouse gun beats elephant gun.

That's was a prototype for the top secret Revolver Cannon. The war ended before it went into production. It must've finally been declassified.

I put this in "Cool Weapons' cuz the men, the plane, and the carrier are/were all Cool Weapons:

Quote:
Here's a sea burial you may not have read about: Loyce Edward Deen, an Aviation Machinist Mate 2nd class, USNR, was a gunner on a TBM Avenger. On November 5, 1944, Deen's squadron participated in a raid on Manila where his plane was hit multiple times by anti-aircraft fire while attacking a Japanese cruiser. Deen was killed. The avenger's pilot, Lt Robert Cosgrove, managed to return to his carrier, the USS Essex. Both Deen and the plane had been shot up so badly that it was decided to leave him in the plane. It is the only time in US Navy history -- and probably US military history -- that an aviator was buried in his aircraft after being killed in action.
Rick, via Ernie's House Of Whoop Ass

No sound:

In Memory Of Loyce Edward Deen

I've seen many drawings/paintings of camel cannons but never a photo. Supposedly, they are real. Now, the gatling guns on camels are well documented
