The New Improved Commute Thread: Video Edition
This is not my normal route. I usually go west on 23 to Morgantown, and take the Turnpike from there. Yesterday was the 5th, and there was no traffic, so I took the route I normally take home at night instead. I usually go this way on Saturday mornings....it's a much prettier ride, too. Main St to Brick Rd. Left on Rte 401 East to Rte 100. Turn right, 100 South to the new Eagle bypass road, back onto 100S to Turnpike entrance. East on 276 PA Turnpike to Valley Forge exit, stay left and take 76 East (The dreaded Schyulkill Expressway) Merging with Rte 1 City Ave/Roosevelt Expwy. 3 miles to center city Philadelphia, exit left to rte 676, under center city, take exit for the Ben Franklin Bridge. Admiral Wilson Blvd (30 east) to rte 38 E. After the light by the Cherry Hill Mall, parking in (formerly) Buca Di Beppo's parking lot on the right.

That's a long commute. You and the rest of the traffic drive extremely fast. Amazing how you can stop on a dime at those speeds.

Bicyclists are flat, and part of the pavement.

I like trees when they're not falling on jinx's car

Ya. And yet it's only 20 minutes down the Turnpike to the largest shopping mall in the country(in terms of retail space, not roller coaster space).

I was just thinking, if you left a few minutes earlier you wouldn't have to go so fast.
