Jan 14th, 2020 : Moo Mountains

This will tell you where Werner Lampert’s head is at...

Quote:
While Werner Lampert was living on an alpine pasture, he discovered that cows have an insatiable appetite for, among many things, poetry. Each morning, he’d clamber up a small hill to the pasture where his bovine neighbors were grazing. There, he’d read aloud the works of the German Romantic poet Friedrich Hölderlin. The cows would gather around him, listening attentively until he finished delivering the poem at hand. “When I stopped … they would soon scatter,” writes Lampert. “But the next morning they would be there waiting for me again.”
So Lampert traveled the world photographing cows and their humans for a book called, “The Cow: A Tribute”.
This picture caught my eye, first because the cows are familiar, second because I thought of a previous discussion here about
farm land abutting steep mountains. The cows are Swiss so the mountains may be also.

Like Moo-the-old-lady-hoo, man.

One of my first thoughts is "This is why you don't drink from a crystal clear mountain stream without treating the water first."

Just think of it as a fecal transplant, it's good for the gut.

Remember the raw water craze?

That didn't last long.
