Mum's birthday poem to me

This was what mum wrote me in place of a card this year I was working on my birthday and late at that, so I scooted into Mum's with Carrot, left him there and off to work. Got back and she'd written this :P

My darling lovely daughter, its your birthday today

oh me oh my, so much to say.....

on this windy soggy and goddamn wet day

dashing in you came you and carrot sopping wet

then waiting outside cos taxi not here yet

but.....back to your birthday we will now get

its hard to accept so many years have passed

so many memories shared and amassed

how can it be ....all gone by in such a whirl

when you were my beautiful snuggly baby girl

deep into my heart you came

where you have and always will remain

I couldn't be more proud of you and still feel very blessed

and OMG you only went and got the title Doctor no-less

your new career is up and running a different course begun

it's lovely seeing you progress happily which makes me your happy mum

you never dreamt that you would one day enjoy working in insurance

but LOL here you are now with happiness in abundance

you are a truly lovely person always thoughtful and kind

and you never fail to impress me with your staggering mind

how did I get so lucky all those years ago

you magically arriving my precious cargo

so I wish for you to be happy and I hope that you shall

my lovely darling daughter and my pal

A Big Loud HAPPY BIRTHDAY

My love always

Ma Xxxxx
