I really have no excuse SM... no $400 mic, but my pre-amp has a direct-in, and has been used for recording that way and sounds very nice.

It's a really high skill Jazz piano playing. But, I want the video version of how to play the song. It would be useful to learn the song by looking the solo playing video.

I thought Jazz was mostly improvisational, and if so you'd need a lot of videos to cover variations.
