4/6/2003: Vulva puppet
The womyn at yoni.com have developed this very fine vulva puppet, and I'm not making fun of it, I'm really not. I *think* it was done for educational purposes, but the page doesn't really make that clear. http://www.yoni.com/loverf/vulvaintro.shtml It looks comfortable, as if it would be good to snuggle up with. That's all I'm gonna say. |

Wow.. $240 is a lot of money for a pillow.. even if it is shaped like a vulva. I guess some folks really like their vaginas!

But... but...
Why a puppet??? I mean, I wouldn't want any of my children growing up thinking that vulvas talk... And how would you explain to friends and neighbors when your kid starts telling them about the wonderful adventures they had with Vulva, their soft and cuddly friend?

This harkens to mind an old joke. I won't relate the entire thing here, but suffice to say that the punch line was "Hell, if we could find my car keys, we could *drive* out!" [rim shot]

How disappointing.... I misread the title and was expecting a uvula. I guess it's time for new glasses.
For those who aren't interested in shelling out that much cash, the Origami Underground web page contains a couple different models that you can fold yourself. |

Okay, okay ...
Enough with the velveteen vulva. Is there a companion piece (tee hee) available? yeah, I know that the vulva is an expression of feminist pride and all, but I think there should be equal time ...

It would be a bit harder to make such a companion piece out of velvet.
Actually, I suppose you could just make it in a different form, but then it wouldn't be as fun as it could be. |

If a man bought a giant velvet penis puppet for purposes of his male pride, he'd just be accused of being egotistical.

That is because peni are evil, bad, invasive, violating things. Vulva are creative, nurturing and beautiful.
Don't you read feminist literature?

I think I may have once used feminist literature to start a campfire.
(My idea of proper feminist lit is the Second Amendment Sisters newsletter ...) Oh, and my not-so-little equal time friends can be found at www.dildoll.com (I think the site name totally rocks.) (WOW. These darn things sell for between $75-120. I oughta get started sewing rather than ridiculing 'em)
