That's why you're not a moderator.

I don't mind stupid pointless threads. I do mind when some days they seem to be the majority of what I see in new posts. Personally, I don't get it. Clone threads were funny for a minute. Goofy threads are fun, but how many can really justify their very own thread? I just try to ignore them and sift through to find the interesting (to me) stuff.

But hey, someone must be enjoying them, right?

Hang in there with me BigV. We'll keep the Word Association & Song Association threads at the top of the board until we fillibuster the low grade material. If that doesn't work, we'll petition UT to create a Less-Than-Nothing Land forum for the refuse and install lumberjim as forum moderator.

P.S. In the aforementioned threads, consecutive posting by the same person is deemed acceptable for this noble cause.

Now there are some truly, utterly useless fucking threads. Posting in threads like that serves the sole purpose of moving the timeclock ahead a few paltry seconds; but it sure leaves a bad taste in your mouth to have wasted your precious keyboard strokes on such pointless garbage. Of course, I don't bust in there and make a dick out of myself. I'd have to be a total fucking dick to do something like that!

I just don't understand how so many cannot just seem to ignore what they don't want to participate in.
So confusing.

Wrong. Religion doesn't mind it's own business. Is that not his whole gripe with Church/State Separation?

Of all the (seemingly) pointless threads, I think I like those by Shawnee (French fries) and Flint (Make the Monkey Walk) the best.

Thanks. Make the Monkey Walk was pretty abstract, but actually based on real-life subject matter.
In fact, my wife tells me that she recently saw an ad for a similar device...they're always stealin' my ideas!
