Ah, youth and pop culture. Sorry, it's not wrong is it to be caught up in my own times?

Not at all, you're supposed to be. Bonus points for realizing "it's your own times". A lot of people go through life thinking their own times is everyone's, (preceding and following), own times.

Akon is the worst. My god, it's such total crap that if you crapped out the biggest crap you could, and then ate that crap with refried beans, the crap you would crap out 24 hours later would not be crappier than Akon.

The dude who made that video gave a "shout out" to his mom. How sweet.

But...you made a comparison to Elvis (a good artist) seemingly implying that the criticism, or critic, was in error.

That is the bestest thing you have EVER written, or typed...or whatever.

I think Grandpa was in error also, but we would never convince him of that. Sometimes different is mistaken for better, but it's up to each generation to decide what they like in their "own times". Guess that's why every generation claims, you don't like it because you're too old.

The difference in this case is that I've listened to and liked some modern pop and hip-hop and whatnot, so I refuse this too-old title and judge Akon simply because he's crap.

You can't judge our generation because of Akon though...

90% of the good music nowadays is indie or underground.
