Nasoya Egg Roll Wraps.

So quick and easy to make a tasty, nutritious and inexpensive between-meal meal for my aquaticians. I quickly stir fry thin-sliced cabbage, grated carrot, chopped onion and some precooked/left-over chicken/whatever meat is in the fridge with some soy sauce and black pepper, then tip that out into a dish, add a little more oil to the pan and use it to fry the filled rolls.

10-15 minutes tops. they're better with beansprouts, but I don't always have those handy because they don't keep as well as cabbage and are not eaten as often as carrots and onions

What's really good is they taste like rolls from the restaurant and they stick together really well when you roll them up.

probably not a product you need as an old curmudgeon, but for people like me with young active families who don't over-indulge in salt in most other areas of their diet, it's a great product so I recommend it

I am currently endorsing, wholeheartedly no less, Victor Mousetraps.

I have trapped 4 short tailed shrews over the past three days. Not sure if there are more, but the third one was trapped in the middle of the night and was partially eaten by the morning. No activity since the 4th one was caught.

The trap worked great. Simple design, effective. Peanut butter bait.

I've used those in the rat trap size, and they work well.

For mouse traps, we use the plastic quick set kind that are also easy to deal with when you get rid of the dead guy. They are finicky though and don't always trip. And sometimes they don't kill, which is a little awkward for both you and the mouse. You have to figure out how to kill the little guy then.

Come to think of it, I can't recommend this kind of trap at all.

That's the kind of trap I used when I got my first mice ever here this past year. And yeah, it didn't kill the little guy. I was horrified. I won't even explain to you what I did next...just say it had something to do with a plastic bag, a deck railing, and a thwacking noise.

So I tried the ones that look like a house. Supposedly the mouse enters and some sort of hammer bashes down and breaks him and traps him. Only when I found one in there its tail was sticking out and I didn't care for that either. :shudder:

So then I got the round kind that the mouse goes in and it snaps shut. Not sure what is going on inside of it but I know I don't have to look at it. It pushes a lever to 'MOUSE CAUGHT!' and I can just throw it away. I bought two of those and only one caught a mouse and haven't had one since.

Oh, and I did try the poison bait once but it didn't kill the mouse it made him freaking insane! He was walking around the middle of my living room right in front of me...running AT me.

I suppose I could Pied Piper them away if only I had the skills.

I don't like killing things but if they're in here uninvited and not paying rent, or at least cleaning a little bit, they gots to go!
