Mmm lunch. Of course it was unhealthy, but cheap & tasty.
The only reason I wouldn't go is Ray Kroc was Nixon's #1 contributor.

Lunch with Limey on Thursday.
I will write it up properly somewhere.

I had cheese & pickle ciabatta sandwich.
Came with leaves, pomegranate seeds and balsamic dressing, and a little pot of coleslaw (which I gave to Limey, as she likes and I don't).

And a vanilla milkshake.

Limey had mackerel pate and toast, and a strawberry and rhubarb soft drink.
Her food was very good too, but the bottled drink was a little too sweet (too much strawberry said Lines, not enough rhubarb).

Lunch in Mendoza's on Aylesbury High Street yesterday.
My parents, despite the evidence of their eyes, have decided I need feeding up.
(well TBF it is really more about nutrition than the size I am)

Dad's cheese & ham omelette.
Looked a bit rubbery to be, but he proclaimed it good and ate more than he usually would.

Mum's Hoisin Duck Wrap. She admitted - shame-faced - that this was what she always had. Good for her, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. She'll get bored with it in her own time and move on.

And my steak & blue cheese salad.
A few more cherry tomatoes than I was prepared to eat (palmed off on Mum) but no pesky hidden cucumber. I cleared my plate.

Gravdigr's Sausage Casserole

1 pound sausage (or ground beef, or ground venison, or, or) cooked w/a little Worcestershire sauce and liquid smoke
Cheese - cubed (as much as you like)
2 cups macaroni (cooked)
Cheese
A small onion, diced
Cheese
A small green pepper, diced
Cheese
1 15 oz can diced tomatoes (if you really like tomatoes, use two cans)
Cheese
1 15 oz can tomato sauce
Cheese
1 teaspoon sugar

Pour everything in a casserole dish and mix together.

For the topping:

one tube/package saltine crackers (or non salted, if you avoid salt), crumbled, mixed with one stick melted butter, spread evenly on top of the mixed casserole.

I cook the peppers and onions and ground meat together. I usually cook my casserole for 20 minutes at 350. All you're really doing is just warming up the already-cooked ingredients, anyway. Just enough to barely brown the cracker topping.

Enjoy. Let us know how yours comes out!
