What odds and ends are in your junk bowls?

Surely I'm not the only one who does this ... has a bowl, or two (or other container, or spot on the counter) where odds and ends wind up. Pick one up and tell us what you've got.

This is a ceramic bowl I've had since college - think it used to be a room-mate's Ramen bowl. The contents:

blue & yellow paper-mache egg with glitter on it
duck carved out of soap
3 lego pieces
tiny green plastic airplane
watch I quit wearing over 10 years ago
yellow plastic star which lights up when you press the middle
4 green jewel-like buttons
white fingernail pencil thingy
1 big gold-tone button
money clip in the shape of the $ symbol
Tiny flat wooden farm figurines (cow, farmer, sheep)
1 one-yen coin
Madison County library card
1 googly eye
antique lapel pin of my mom's which says "ABC"
shoelace keeper for toddler's shoe
clear plastic garnish sword
eyelash brush
clear blue glass bead
tiny flashlight bulb

How about you?

I grabbed the glass dish on my dresser in my bedroom:

19 of those little plastic bags with extra buttons that come with new shirts.
One Ohio State Buckeyes necklace with real buckeyes
One strand of New Year's Eve beads
Two safety pins
One "lucky rock"
An old price tag off a piece of clothing
A bracelet with one of those little boxes on it (that never did stay closed.)
One old battery
1 packet of salt
1 packet of pepper
One blue pill
26 pennies
One of those fortune cards from a Dave & Buster's
And last but not least, a part of a kernel of popcorn (?)

I've got a small one on my desk. There's a whole bunch of loose change, some paper clips, a few thumb drives, a bottle opener, a key chain, a few dice, and a toy car.

Ha! You should make a parody thread.

Shawnee, part of a kernel of popcorn??

Merc, you gotta tell us what's in yours. Just pick one at random.

Shawnee's glass dish on the dresser sounds an awful lot like my glass dish on my dresser.

There's one on my desk next to me, actually it's an aluminum tray. I think it was my grandma's. Nothing special but it works great for holding little doodads. It's got three SD cards, a stapler, staple remover, yet another pair of earbuds that the cat chewed one side apart, a red lighter (for candles - I don't smoke), a pen cap, a yellow thumbtack, a bottle opener, and a cuticle nipper.

I have many, many, many of these "junk bowls" around the house. There is a really BIG one on my kitchen counter, which is the location of Alluvial's, right? It's actually a plastic basket. I have no idea what is in there. It's very full.

Heh, I thought the same thing just now, and was ready to post it.

As to the blue pill, I think it's some diet aid HG gave me once to try, which I never did. Oh yeah, just found my magnifier, it's orlistat. No thanks. But it will probably live in that bowl forever.

It would be interesting to find some of my old "junk bowls" from earlier times, but everything is packed away in boxes that have moved from residence to residence...creating a slew of junk boxes which have come together to become a junk shed. If I ever clean out my shed I'll post the contents. Tony, please start ramping up server space.

Shawnee, I think this is one of those older bowls too. The shoelace keeper is almost as old as my daughter - it's probably been in this bowl for 20 years.

Fuglystick, I'm loving your user name. Heh.

So, what this tells is that Shaw showed her boobs on New Year's Eve, and that she keeps a Viagra handy just in case.
