There are 3 people and 12 cookies, one guy takes 11 and tells one of the others "hey, look, he's trying to take your cookie".

"There are 3 people and 12 cookies, one guy (the fella who baked the cookies at his own expense) takes 12 and tells the others (slackasses each), 'get your own, motherfuckers'."

One guy owns the factory, the other two work at the factory. The workers actually made the cookies, the owner didn't do anything except sign checks. Who's lazy?

From my fingertips to God's eyes: Lord? Please let the government close...not just some sliver but all of it...let all the dependent poor folks go apeshit (cuz I need target practice)...let all the folks whose wealth and power are tied to government go apeshit and become food for the food stampers and (gov) cheeseheads (cuz I need entertainment).

Make my aim steady, my finger quick, my ammo plentiful, Lord. Bring satisfaction to my sense of humor, Lord.

The owner, of course. Doesn' matter cuz he OWNS the factory.

So what? He may have inherited a factory from his daddy, but he can't make a single cookie without those workers.

He is maintaining jobs as long as he runs the enterprise correctly. It is a pretty great thing to do.

Probably. Best get to work, change the culture, get folks to see 'property' differently. Or: you can just 'go Maoist', and revolt.

"he can't make a single cookie without those workers."

Mebbe not. Them workers need to demand fair compensation or work elsewhere (or 'go Maoist').

So anyway. The shutdown.

It's making my job more complicated. I needed to respond to something that came from the World Intellectual Property Organization by January 26th. If I don't reply by then, a small company will lose its protection in a number of countries around the world. Only wrinkle is that I respond to WIPO through the USPTO. They rubber stamp what I have to say and forward it along to Geneva.

I filed my document this morning, almost a month before the deadline, but if the USPTO doesn't get to it before their funding runs out in a week or so, I will miss the WIPO deadline and the company loses.

Harm to glatt and all company employees is a good thing ... according The Don's admirer.

He also loves what Eddie Lambert has done to Sears and Kmart employees and customers to only enrich himself, the crap that GM produces, so many jobs lost due to Trump Tariffs, this Trump created recession, and destruction of GE to the benefit of more patriotic American (German) companies such as Bosch and Siemens.

Apparently he also wants to see more car crashes and train wrecks. So he mocks glatt.

I'm getting a bunch of emails and phone calls from the two blood drive organizations I use, that blood reserves in this area are very low and they need donors. Apparently, blood drives that are routinely held at government offices have been canceled because they are closed and that slight interruption has impacted reserves.

Oh, blood is still being provided by those unpaid government employees. It's just being sold to the places that will pay for it.

I'm sure there will be a lot of organizations claiming dubious losses by jumping on the government shutdown bandwagon.

tw,

You're welfare is in jeopardy. Might be time to go back to work.

FCC has shut down so it's safe to swear on the air.
