Veggie Quiz

Here's a quiz where they show you a picture of a veggie and you name it from a multiple choice list.

Out of 29 I knew 1... one, uno, single ...1.
I got 4 more right by accident just because you have to pick something to move on.

Some of the pics were not great. I got fiddlehead even though I know what they look like and the photo didn't do it justice.

I got nine right. That's because I got a few lucky guesses, and I recognized the Asian fruits. As for Asian leafy vegetables, I couldn't remember the names, even to this day when I go to the grocery store. Seriously, I either ask another patron or call home.

Eleven! So I'm the winner so far
Okay, that includes guesses, the process of elimination for some where I knew which answer it wasn't and one guessed right by Diz, who wanted attention and pawed the screen.

Most of those I have never even heard of, let alone seen for sale in thos country.

Now given a photo of cheese I'd have a much better hope of recognising it.
Vasterbottensost for example.

I knew the fiddleheads (being a Canuck and all), but most of the rest I'd never seen. Like Sundae, I was able to say what a picture was not, but then often had to guess between the remaining 2 or 3 choices. It all depends on where you come from and what you've seen. I'm not up on my fruits from the Amazon basin.

9, but I mis-clicked once and second guessed myself on a few others. Most of the weird fruit threw me, almost all the veggies though, I recognized.

Monsterosa deliciosa

I did this quiz Sunday night, and got 4 right. The only one I really knew was Fiddle Heads. The other three were blind guesses. I just retook it and I got 16. So, it's an educational quiz.

I knew a few, very few. Some of them are similar in shape to ones I've eaten, but I guessed wrong. there's a lot of exotic stuff out there.

Fiddleheads were also the ones I got. A lot of exposure to fiddleheads here in the Cellar.

11 out of 29. I thought after working almost around the world I'd seen most fruits, (and Nuts). But guess not
