:::irrelevant aside::: when I lived up there as a child, we'd say someone'd gone to Morpeth if we wanted to call them crazy because that's where the regional lunatic asylum was. I think it's still there, but renamed in a politically correct manner.... perhaps she trains the dogs herding nutters...

.....bad monster

Sheep thieves are now stealing working sheep dogs to assist them and it has become a serious rural crime, so I hope Emma keeps her Border Collies safe.

If you'll permit me, the dog was sold for £18,900 which equates to $24,420.

[PETA]That may not be permissible. At issue is the use of the word "sold." It may be disrespectful, degrading, humiliating, ignominious and rude to the dog. Rather, the dog could have fetched the cited amount of money (dogs do fetch you know); or, this being a working dog, it could have earned the cited amount.[/PETA]

When you think about how much a decent farm vehicle costs and how much less intelligent and autonomous those are..... it's almost a bargain.......

The Border Collie is one of the world's breeds of sheepdog, if that's what you're asking.

I guess I, incorrectly, think of ye Olde Englishe Sheepe Doge-type dog when I see/read/hear 'sheep dog'.

That's common, I do that sometimes too if I don't have a clue ahead of time.
