I'm guilty of attempting to choose for everyone the direction the community would take. I'm going to let the cellar find its own level. If that level is something I can appreciate, I'll be around.

Yeah, that's part of it. The other part is that your posts also contribute to what the Cellar is, and I think it's better when you are posting, so I hope you do stick around.

Yeah it is strange that though, how just one person can totally ruin an experience for you. I had a bad experience recently with an ex-friend - and it made everything intollerable. I have disabled my facebook account because I didnt even feel like logging on because I knew she was on there, and even going to the local shops for a while was stressfull in case i bumped into her.
I know how you feel Griff - it just makes you want to go "fuck this, i'm out."

i wrote the politics forum off years ago. political argument turns people i like into assholes. i cant imagine what people i hate act like in there.

seemed to me that griff's main cellar joy came from politics....i don't get it....but whatever floats yer boat......

i do get it that one person can shit all over that one segment, and 'ruin' your experience.....so, why then would you keep coming back? you wouldn't

i hope you'll take some time to drop into the other forums from time to time griff.....I DO want your pic in the collage, and will be sure to tell you if merc dies in a fire.
