Urbane Guerrilla and tw.

It's 2016. Tw and UG are both running for president. You have a choice to vote for one or the other.

Who do you pick? Would you prefer the far-leftie or the far-righty?

Tw all the way.
zippyt • Jun 2, 2006 12:14 am
the larger one , makes for an easyer target .
richlevy • Jun 2, 2006 12:27 am
TW is way closer to the middle than UG.

You should have attached a poll to this thread.
Ibby • Jun 2, 2006 1:08 am
you know, i should have...
Aliantha • Jun 2, 2006 1:13 am
I'd vote for tw...specially since someone once accused me of being him. It'd be like voting against myself if I voted for UG.
Ibby • Jun 2, 2006 1:27 am
Your post wasn't five paragraphs long; therefore, you aren't tw.

"The Middle" is very dependant on where the speaker is standing at the moment. :-)

We're not in any danger of tw running for anything...a harrangue is not a platform.

This is the correct answer.

I would vote for tw only because he'd be so busy satisfying his hypergraphia that he wouldn't make any actual decisions. I'd have to hope his administration was good.
Skunks • Jun 2, 2006 7:38 am
Make them co-presidents. They are both passionate about the country, although the alliance might perhaps fall apart over the definition of "country."

I pine for a return to the days of yore, where people in power sought to surround themselves with people who brought insight different from their own -- disagreement, critique, debate -- rather than to fill positions with people on strings, at worst, or simply of general agreement, at best.

Two party system, 'they're both the same party' system, it's all a sham; the parties themselves are the problem. The concept of "I'm right, and the number of people who agree with me increase my rightness." The concept of allies being worth more than good arguments.

It ain't easy being an idealist.

I'll also go for tw. And hire strunk&white for speechwriters.
marichiko • Jun 2, 2006 12:55 pm
tw gets my vote. His posts may be lengthy, but for the most part, they're coherant, unlike UG's. I would hope he'd lose the terms "mental midget" and " MBA mentality" from his vocabulary, tho. Unlike some recent presidents we've had, at least tw seems to care passionately for his country.

:lol2:

Thank you for improving my day with that comment.

I'd vote for Brianna just 'cause she said "hypergraphia."
Trilby • Jun 2, 2006 2:00 pm
K. Number ONE--UG's posts are WAY more coherent than tw's!~ DUH! Plus, I am starting to think SD might belong in my House of Pleasure but that is something based purely on emotion. It makes me wonder if SD is a Vegas don.

TW, just because UG would label me a communist when in fact I'm socialist.
xoxoxoBruce • Jun 2, 2006 4:31 pm
TW....or Radar....or Jose Mexicana....anybody but UG.

"hypergraphia" is one word for it..."logorrhea" is another. :-)

I'm not sure if you can apply logorrhea to writing. It might be for speech only, sort of like slander versus libel.
Spexxvet • Jun 2, 2006 10:28 pm
TW, though I'm not sure if been able to finish even one of his posts.
Beestie • Jun 3, 2006 1:45 am
I'd vote for tw because he hates midgets.

You just feel guilty about being a commie ... you know, like how moonies don't consider themselves a cult?

I'd vote UG.

Nah, Jebediah is just a Trotsky-est with Leninist leanings, and you just like to take the part of the underdog, no matter to what depths he has doggedly sunken.
capnhowdy • Jun 3, 2006 9:27 pm
I think UG's militant attitude would prevail over TW's intellectual attacks. Whoever would be pres, all I can say is have mercy on our asses. Even moreso than now.
WabUfvot5 • Jun 3, 2006 10:49 pm
You are getting too close to the truth ladies. All I will say is that I support the gulagification of America!
