stupid talk bubble

When I print from my computer here at work, I get a stupid talk bubble (like one in the pics below) which says "this has been sent to printer...blah blah blah.) I hate it because it gets in the way, and I already know I printed because I'm the one who printed it, and the little printer icon shows up on the taskbar (which is where the bubble emanates from.)

I can't find any way to get rid of it...anyone know where the settings for this might be? I have Windows XP Professional version 2002.

It's probably a function of the printer software rather than Winblows itself. Not knowing what printer you have, I'd suggest you go to the Printers folder (found off of the Start menu), right-click your printer, and choose Properties. There's probably a setting somewhere that you can uncheck called something like "Show Notification When Print Job Complete".
