I personally like Oreos...they're my absolute favorite. April hates them though...how can I marry this woman? ;)

I don't know what to call it, please enlighten me.

I think you've just made one, fargon. Comment away! I'm interested to see which cookie sparked this. :)

Dare brand sandwich cookies beat Oreos hands down. McVities chocolate caramel digestives are pretty awesome too. Sheetz sells some decent iced sugar cookies. Bloom has the best store bought sugar cookies for a grocery store.

Nothing beats homemade cookies though.

Maybe this should have been under the Food & Drink Category. We should also include Fav. Cookie Receipes. I like Oreos too, with a HUGE glass of milk. Also, like Nutter Butters. But, as mentioned previously, homemade are the best.

Nothin's better than a good batch of chocolate chips. Except maybe oatmeal chocolate chips.

Chips Ahoys aren't what they used to be.

Boy, won't you all feel silly when you find out this is supposed to be about web browser cookies. :p

As far as packaged cookies go, Famous Amos have some elusive magical quality...

I so agree, they are so much smaller and not as tasty.

All things being considered, fat people use more soap.

No Shit.

A thread for people tossing their cookies! Impressive. :D

Did you know that oatmeal cookies are actually Anzac Biscuits which became a national treasure during WW1.
Weird Harold • Aug 4, 2007 5:51 am
Did the Australian equivalent of Nicholas Cage steal the oatmeal cookies?
Uisge Beatha • Aug 4, 2007 7:06 am
Yes, these are fine cookies, but I put it to you all that shortbread deserves its due. It is an elegant treat - so simple, yet so rich. :f167:

Anzac Biscuits
Traditional biscuits baked by anxious wives and mothers during World War I, packed in food parcels, and sent to the Australian soldiers in the trenches.

INGREDIENTS
1 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup desiccated coconut
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
125g (4oz) butter
2 tablespoons golden syrup
1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
1 tablespoon water

Preheat oven to 300F (150C)

Mix oats, flour, sugar and coconut together.
Melt syrup and butter together.
Mix soda with boiling water and add to melted butter and syrup.
Add to dry ingredients.
Place 1 tablespoonfuls of mixture on greased tray (allow room for spreading).
Bake for 20 minutes.
Loosen while warm, cool on trays.
(makes about 35)
