The Phillies have finally done it!

Congratulations to the players, mangers and the entire organization.
Finally, the Philadelphia faithful can cheer and be happy that they have their championship. Again, congrats.

Personally, I'm not a big baseball fan, I much prefer football & hockey. However, I remember watching 28 years ago, as a 16 yr old with my father. It is a great memory that he and I still share. Last night I got to watch the game with my sons, 16 & 18, now he will have a similar memory to hopefully share with his children.

I happened to be standing near the TV in the kitchen doorway when I saw the game end and the pig pile on the field. We've got this new TV and I felt like I was right there. I had an urge to jump onto that pig pile.

I have to say, I am really pissed off at the behavior of the crowd last night. The city is dealing with a big budget deficit as it is, and now we are having to spend lots of money to fix the mass destruction caused by fucking idiots.

Our team wins the World Series for us, and the fans thank them by destroying everything in their path. I guess it's safe to say I'm not all that cheered up.

I hadn't heard of any "mass destruction." All I heard/read about were some isolated incidents just after the game.
