Sometimes taking photos involves massive luck. This shot of a Riot in Berlin was a single shot photo with a mobile phone camera and no Photoshop involved. It's a beautiful sport.

We should discus this at length.

Germans riot a lot different than vancouveranianites.

The trouble with frisbee riots is they sometimes come back to haunt you. :-)

Guy just posted his explanation...

I threw the disc with my left hand and snapped the photo with the right.
The weird random filter in Hipstamatic did the rest.
Lots of sunshine gave the light needed.

I kinda believe him even less now. But a photographer I am not.

That "weird random filter" in his hipstamatic is another way of saying digitally manipulated, perhaps he didn't shop the disc in, but all the groovyness of the colors is pure adultery.

Thanks - that makes more sense. It was basically "shopped"
in a different program?
footfootfoot • Jun 23, 2011 12:55 pm
yes, as far as colors and contrast and all that stuff. The frisbee was probably where he said it was. Not really such a tough shot to get.

Why don't we see if anyone else (on the Cellar) can come up with a similar shot that they've taken themselves then we'd know for sure how doable or otherwise it is?
