They didn't say what he will be doing. Also this has been in the works for a while.

In 1998 I stood in the ramshackle office space of a friend who had just started a webpage design business. It was called WWWebservers, which we mockingly pronounced with all the Ws. He excitedly showed off two of his favorite new tools, Google ("you can literally search for 'shit,' and a thousand pages about shit will come up," ) and Photoshop ("like Paint, but on steroids." )

A thousand pages, indeed. 1998 was a good year.

Actually, shit, that might have been 1997. I can't remember when my friend broke up with the guy who connected us to those friends. Now I feel old.

The beginning of the web was an exciting time. In 97 we took a trip to NZ and on all previous trips we would get a copy of Let's Go to do the planning, but for this trip I was actually able to make reservations for a highly restricted multi-day hike on the other side of the planet simply by clicking the mouse a few times and hitting some keys.

Glad he is gone. Not hopeful for a competent replacement.

Srriuosly partisan issue and person. Hes the one that should have led the investigations into things like fast and furious etc. To some it seems he simply stonewalled and covered for this administration instead of searching for truth. To others, he was great. Flip a coin.

Heh, iirc, that was the result of an informal fan survey. He had redesigned a few times, and was about to again, and asked what his readers preferred out of 2-3 versions, one being the original-ish style. There used to be two stick figure guys double-teaming a stick figure ladaay at the top of the page. So...:right:

It's changed a lot since he was in MA. After moving to FL he got more assholy, must be the water.
