Undertoad Monday Feb 24 01:21 PM2/24/2003: Inappropriate advertising
TV broadcast networks have always looked out for their advertisers in special ways. They'll determine whether there is any conflict between content and ad. For example, if a bad guy drives a Ford truck off a cliff, they'll check to see whether Ford is a sponsor and at the very least not schedule a Ford ad right after the thrilling Ford death cliff scene.
Apparently Yahoo doesn't use the same due diligence in picking ads to run against news stories. And so Cisco is now responsible for Dolly's death.
