Nov 20th, 2018: Oglala Chiefs

Indians.
No, not native Americans, they are descended from immigrants just like the rest of us.
First people? Sooner than us people is more like it, since they’re thousands of years after first.
Male chauvinist women abusers? Hmm, I guess we have a lot in common after all.

1899 hand colored platinum prints of Oglala Sioux Chiefs.

That post makes you sound like a racist moron.

I am offended by it.

The link (Once Upon a Town) also has yesterday's Random Pic of the Denny Retrograde, but correctly identified.
I'm confused.

Bone Necklace and Shout At posed with the same bow prop.

Or, they both shop at the same five and dime where my parents bought mine.

So, who 'shopped out the Olan Mills logos in the lower corners?

Every time I say Indians somebody tries to tell me I should not say that, and I should say Native Americans or First People instead. So I voiced my objection to those names up front to save them the trouble.
How is this racist?

edit: Think the bow and arrows are studio props, certainly not what Indians actually used.

Say Indian all you want. You know goddamned good and well what I meant.

Saying Indian doesn't make you a racist in my mind, I use the word Indian. But we are both as wrong as Columbus was.

The ongoing racist tone you display, whether sarcastic, or not, toward/about Native American/Indian/red people is what makes you sound like a racist moron.

I am red. I'm almost redder than I am white, as a matter of fact.

I ain't saying I don't offend people. Do I offend people? I'm not saying these things are a deal breaker between you and me, I'd prefer it didn't come between us at all, but I will call you out on it every fucking time I see it.

Don't know what you have against Native Americans/Indians/red people, but I hope you can get past it someday.

At least try to emulate me. I hate everybody. I'm a reglar paragon o'virtue.

xoxoxoBruce  Wednesday Nov 21 09:22 PM

No, I have no idea what you meant, or why you think I'm racist.
I explained why I posted peremptory responses to the people(usually white) who chastise me for saying Indian.

I do roll my eyes when somebody starts in with the Noble Redman routine because that's just as much bullshit as our Noble Founding Fathers is.
Regardless of color, culture, or residence, they're all people and in any group of people you'll find saints, sinners, and everything in between.
