AND! Listening to Danny Baker on the internet.
I usually listen to him on Saturday mornings anyway, but when I heard that Mark Gatiss was on it, I decided to delay the pleasure. Mum and Dad were racketing away and I felt it would be better to listen on a medium I could rewind.

So I'm listening to the whole thing and currently gritting my teeth that they're calling him GAT-iss. When he comes in he'll correct them - it's GAY-tiss. Quite easy to remember, given that he is gay. He hates people getting his name wrong... tell me about it.

The caller phoning in at present is a game of HOWZAT! between Dr Who characters and Sherlock Holmes. Typical Danny Baker.

Ooooh. I might give that a listen later on headphones.

Have you been watching Gatiss's history of Horror? I saw it when it first aired, but have been rewatching it. Wonderful, just wonderful. The last one made me want to watch BoSC again, with commentary!

Next week is where my horror tastes and his diverge. He quite rightly concentrates on his own view of the new wave of horror, but to my mind misses out several of the most important strands of that new wave. Still love his analysis though.

I watched it originally, didn't realise it was on again.
His whole taste in horror doesn't match mine.
But I'm such a slave of fandom I'll watch anything he recommends, just to understand some of his influences.
I'll check it out online again!

Don't worry, Sandy Possum has already dispatched the BoSC DVD.
It got there surprisingly quickly (as fast as things I've posted to the US) so I've no doubt it will come back as quickly. Then it will be yours :)
