I'm happy that Ducks is back. You been busy, mate? Or "busy" ;) ?

I'm happy that I might potentially only have to carry this great lump of extra human around inside me for another 13 weeks!

It is a beautiful sunny fall day outside, the leaves are gorgeous, the sky is blue... and I don't have to be out in the cold! YAY! lol

I am touching the Cellar monkey even though the tagline says not to touch it. ::touch touch touch:: Yes, I live on the edge, Danger is my middle name, I'm wild today!

Making me happy today: the indominatable human spirit and the kindness of relative strangers...just when I was ready to give up hope again. :)

wow shawnee, you sound so Christmassy.

I got a new pc monitor. You all look so pretty.

Mav and Aden had the day off school today because we had some transport problems, and Mav got bored so he made some very nice white chocolate chip cookies.

Mmmmmm...that's what's making me happy today. :)

I found out that my husband's cousin isn't gay after all. Well, at least he says he's not. No, he didn't come out and say "I'm not gay," LOL -- he talked about having girlfriends and enjoying life as a confirmed bachelor during a visit today. Now, I personally wouldn't care if he was gay - it primarily made me happy because my FIL has been convinced for the past two decades that he was gay and I am petty enough to enjoy seeing him be wrong about stuff. ;)

The cousin is, however, really weird. He's an over-caffeinated conspiracy theorist who's a huge fan of Glenn Beck, thinks we're all headed for the New World Order and being poisoned by chemtrails, and isn't known for ever keeping a steady job for long because he "likes to be independent."

We got along just fine. ;)

In other happy news, DH's aunt visited too - she is 87 and just as chipper as can be, a very sweet lady. So good to see she's still doing well.

And I am drinking a surprisingly good inexpensive chardonnay.

Juni...I have to ask what DH stands for. I just know it's not what I think every time I read it. lol

Drinking a great bottle of Petite Sirah from Sonoma as I roam the musings of my Cellar friends. Not a bad way to spend my time this evening.

DH = dear husband

Also could be "damn husband" or other D thing, as appropriate. Usually dear.

You do know what FIL/SIL etc. stands for, right? Father in law? Sis in law? Just checking. :)

Aliantha 12-04-2008 01:08 AM

Yes I know what those last ones stand for. lol

It's probably just because when my kids are cranky they might say someone was being a real DH meaning dickhead. Sorry about that. lol

Juniper 12-04-2008 01:14 AM

Hey, that's OK. Sometimes it fits!
