You're absolutely right. We could eat canned beans and have no presents and it wouldn't matter at all, as long as everybody gets home safely.

I didn't know you are a Who. Are you related to Cindy Lou?

Gag me. :greenface
No Pollyannas here - just aware that things don't have to turn out all right. Case in point: my daughter was just bumped from her flight out of Chicago, had to pay $200 for a guaranteed seat on the next flight, and won't get into PIT until about 8:30 (assuming no delays). We'll be driving north in temperatures that mean ice and freezing rain instead of making it home while it's still just raining.

Speaking of ice, foot3 - looks like lots of it will be coming through your general area. Better fire up the generator.

hmmm... looks like the in-laws could get trapped in VT.

Home safely with my girl! Enjoying a glass of wine together and talking ... it will possibly be a late night. Tomorrow we brainstorm on gifts, do a surgical strike on the outlet mall, come home and decorate the Christmas tree. We'll put some music on and my father will be with us to enjoy the moment ... looking forward to the next several days.

Nice ...

Ortho, that's so cool.

Super Ortho! That gave me a big smile this morning!

My best friend gave me a Nook HD+ for Christmas!!!

This guy rocks.

Gravdigr 12-26-2013 04:07 PM

Happy for you, Ortho.

orthodoc 12-26-2013 04:17 PM

Thank you, guys! Happy to hear that others are having a good holiday.

Some good things happened at work today. I injected a knee for the first time in a few years ... all went well. It's a bit like riding a bicycle. :)

And another thing went very well today; details don't matter. I never forget that things can go from best to worst in a heartbeat, but I take my happiness when and where it comes.

Sometimes things take a turn for the better. CPS visited about a child I've been worried about for a while. Turns out the social worker had a kid in my class a few years ago, which was cool and they are truly on top of the situation getting family supports in place. fingers crossed
