Sarge got my present!
It's a very vain one - I sent a personalised calendar. A whole year of Sundaes.
It just took so long to arrive I feared it was lost.

Don't fret if you sent something that isn't in the photo - his mail service does seem to take an inordinate amount of time!

ETA - the haul below is from a collection of Dwellars, not just me! Although you can probably recognise my phiz in there.

And there must be some mistake because the invoice says that Amazon only charged me $23 for the case of 14 large boxes. That's like 60% off the store price.

Maybe I should place another order real quick?

Clodfobble 12-13-2011 04:58 PM

Looks like it's the right price.

You save $59.17 (72%)
And, you could save another 15% if you sign up for "Subscribe & Save." (Which is a fantastic deal, because you can cancel at any time, or skip an order, or toss in an extra order... I love Subscribe & Save.)

glatt 12-13-2011 06:22 PM

We do the subscribe and save, and they did take another couple bucks off, but I wasn't sure what that was, so I didn't mention it.

The last case we bought in the early Fall was a lot more expensive, so I think I'm going to get another two cases. I'll give one to the local food pantry and keep the other for myself. That will take me until June or so with the case I just got. It's an outstanding price. They have to be losing money on this.

Glatt,

As an alternative, you may want to check out the cereal selection at Aldi's. Their stuff is really good and is a lot cheaper than the regular grocery store.

Trust me on this , They are Still makeing Plenty

Clodfobble 12-13-2011 08:19 PM

Yeah, it's still $1.64 per box, for nothing but flour, sugar, and salt.

How can I get in on this? Whats the story?

ZenGum 12-14-2011 02:08 AM

And has anyone told Homeland Security that operatives in Washington are stockpiling essential foodstuffs?

Edit: Actually, never mind. I just followed her link and the price is now back up to $75. The savings are no more. The gravy train is over.

Wheaties? Ew JMO I like oatmeal.

I wanted a heifer that was for sale in an online auction. Yesterday we were the closing high bidder YAY! :)

glatt 12-14-2011 09:34 AM

Congratulations! Excuse my ignorance, but what does a heifer do for you? Is it just another animal for the herd, or are you going to breed it or something? (I don't even know whether to call it a he or a she.)
