I was able to use it earlier, but it stalled occasionally.

Rain since Sunday:

Susquehanna River watershed:

If you can see how those two maps converge, ALL of the heavy rain is pretty much directly over the Susquehanna watershed. They track really closely. It's uncanny.

So here it goes again, I lived through two Harrisburg Susquehanna floods and I'm tired of this shit in my lifetime. People, if you are in a floody area, don't build your houses with basements, they will be full of raw sewage every 30 years.

That's a bunch of crap.

I have a cough again. To make matters worse (I know it may be tmi) but I've got my period too, and most of the women here will probably agree that there's nothing worse than having a bad cough when you've got your period, except maybe having the runs at the same time. That'd be pretty messy!

All that on top of these withdrawal things I've been having has made my week really suck.

On the bright side, I've given the house and gardens a really good spring clean with Max's help, so at least even though I feel like shit, I'm not sitting in it.

Boss called, no work again tomorrow. This may take a while. My sister and two of my co-workers had to evacuate. I'm up high with good drainage so I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the power grid stays intact. We're pretty well cut off from everything but "everything" is underwater so we're better off here. A lot of heavy equipment went by this morning, the town between me and New York State had people trapped by the flood waters.

I had heard Binghamton schools were closed again tomorrow. It's crazy, using up your snow days for rain in the first days of the school year. I'm sick of the rain, but at least the flooding hasn't been so destructive here. Trees down here and there, and scattered flooding. We lost power last night as we slept, but I use a battery powered alarm clock, so it didn't mess me up.

We have not gotten enough rain. I wish we could have gotten more of the last TS but it passed us by. Hoping for another big ass storm to fill our ponds and water our crops.

Here's something else from me.

Last week I asked Mav to clean out the inlet filters on the tanks before we started getting the spring storms and he did one, and then I had to go out, but he said he'd do the other one while I was gone.

Anyway, I made a big thing of him doing it without any fuss and nothing more was said.

So today we got a decent bit of rain, so I went to check how much inflow we were picking up now the filters had been cleaned, so I clambered up the ladder for a peek when the rain had slowed back a bit only to find that my blasted son had not entirely cleaned out the second filter at all!

Man I am going to kick his arse when he gets home!

You could also clean all that crap out and stick it in his bed, let him find out about it when he goes to bed. At least that's what I'd feel like doing.

Seems like it's flooding where it's not burning. We've had both this year. I'm just praying (if that's what you call what an atheist does when they hope something happens) that we'll get some rain.

In other news, I am probably the only atheist knifemaker.

What's pissing me off? Smoke induced respiratory issues.
