glatt 09-03-2008 12:07 PM

jinx 09-03-2008 12:08 PM

No spinners.

It will need to be detailed to remove the sand I guess.... ;)

I did it:

I applied for a job at another school; just applied online with attached resume and cover letter.

Things have been so bad here lately, and not just in this department, but submitting an application to another school was very difficult for me and a gut-wrenching step.

So, I'm proud of myself for at least trying. If I get an interview, which I should with my qualifications for this particular position, then I can worry again. If it works out, great. If not, I'm still here.

btw, the job at the other school is all of what I LOVE to do here, and not much of what I don't like to do here. In other words, it's at least half the responsiblity for, at minimum, a 20% pay increase.

The only downside would be the drive. The only downside I can see right now, anyway. Oh, and leaving my friends here, especially my favorite cow orker. I have to look out for me, though, because certainly no one else wants to. ;)

lookout123 09-03-2008 03:17 PM

if you were to ork your cow orker a bit more often he'd certainly look out for you a bit more. just sayin'.

HungLikeJesus 09-03-2008 03:19 PM

Shawnee, that's great news.

Why don't you take your favorite orker with you?

HungLikeJesus 09-03-2008 03:21 PM

We just had a short, but intense, hail storm. Unfortunately, my Insight (which is made of blue tin foil) is sitting outside. I don't see any dents in it.

lookout123 09-03-2008 03:25 PM

the good news is you have two choices if you find a dent:

1: Tear off a new sheet of foil and spread it over the top.

2: Crumple up the current Insight and make a new one. Downside is you'd have to buy two boxes of foil.
