Squirrel-o'mine came over for a visit and was straightening out the placemats at the table and she said, "Here's your phone." FML If I had bothered to have sit down at the table dinner with the kids instead of "Couch Dinner" I would have found my phone days ago.

A1C sounds great. It is nice to have a clear indication of your status and a clear, if not necessarily easy, way to maintain it.

She took me off the metformin, too.

That's a big one for me. I was on 2000 mg a day. One of my other docs said that there aren't too many ppl that can successfully tolerate that much. I couldn't. The most I could do was 1500 mg, and still suffered just crazy diarrhea. Like pouring water out of a bucket.

And now I'm off it completely. For now, anyway. We'll watch the numbers, and see.
