The weather is absolutely gorgeous - lovely, lovely!

And we don't get to say "great weather!" in Ohio but a few times a year.

Ye-HAW, it's purty out.

:)

People that work outside know, there's only about 4 days a year that are lovely. A few more are partially-lovely, a lot are only not-too-bad, and most are tolerable, could-be-worse, or crappy. ;)

My course was great yesterday!
I think I'll really gain something from this.

Also, today at school I found out we are having a Cake Sale next Friday.
Not only does this tie in with me new interest in baking, but the school's chosen charity this year is MacMillan Cancer Support - a very worthy charity and obviously close to my heart. So I'm planning a cupcake extravaganza. It won't cost me any money - Mum has offered to buy all the ingredients, because she is away from home housesitting and can't come and support it. This also means I have the kitchen to myself the night before :)

If I really impress myself (I will, my standards aren't all that high) I will post pictorial evidence.

Really feeling quite jolly and useful today, having been at school Weds & Fri and on my course in between.

I bought a pair of 75 cent bluejeans at the Goodwill outlet today. They are 36 waist, so I figured i would eventually be able to wear them...and at $0.75, why not... I also got a denim shirt and a pair of 38 inch waist tan 'jeans' .. also 75c.

best part: the bluejeans fit. they're tight, but they fit.

That's one great feeling when you fit something that you think is a bit small. :D

Hmm you wear the same size as me now (although mine aren't tight). But I don't dress like a redneck..... :p:

Sort of. We're still wary around eachother.
And you should see the lists she's made for me for when they go away!
I've been here two years, they've gone away probably 20+ times. Do I really need to be told to empty the kitchen bin regularly? She's even included "put a Calgon tablet in with every wash so the washing machine doesn't fur up". I put a wash on almost every day.

I know it's because we argued.
It's her way of showing she's lost trust in me.
Shrug. They'll be gone on Monday and I can relax :)

Congrats on the weight loss LJ.
I just seem to be effortlessly gliding upwards these days...

Yahoo Groups apparently received enough negative feedback about their shitty new format (a total visual change meant to approximate Facebook instead of a messageboard) that they switched all of them back to the old format. This makes me very happy indeed.

Had the kids ALL day today. They slept over last night. We had a good breakfast (they both had waffles with strawberries.... the boy ate scrapple... blech...

then we played wiffle ball, 2 different board games... and then we had ripley's cheerleading picture day...

Looks like a whole lot of happiness there Jim. So much so it's contagious.:) I am happy for you.

classicman 09-19-2010 09:48 PM

Looks like a good time.

monster 09-19-2010 09:53 PM

That's excellent. Just don't take them to endless museums on rainy days.

I've got to admit I'm one of those "cheerleading is not a sport" knee-jerk folks, but she sure looks like an athlete in those pics -not just the muscles, but the way she stands. WTG, R.
