My life is good. :)

Awesome! I like to see happy people. It did occur to me, however, that this illustrates an important concept relating to the post about some of us wanting to get noticed. Heck, if I had a darling husband and kids who doted on me, I wouldn't give a frack if anyone noticed me here or not. ;)

That is great, Ali!

It's my 8th wedding anniversary today, and the last day of work this week since we are going on a mini vacation to celebrate. Woo Hoo!! :jig:

Even though sometimes you drive me , and I can make you a little :cuss: sometimes, we make a great team. Love ya babe!! :hugnkiss:

Thanks for noticing me Shawnee. ;)

I am lucky that my life with my family fulfills me. I wish everyone were as lucky as I am.

Shawnee123 05-16-2007 11:10 AM

Walked in the rain a bit last night. I love rain.

Cloud 05-16-2007 08:13 PM

HungLikeJesus 05-16-2007 11:06 PM

I'm feeling good after having a turkey sandwich. I also got my kids new lunch boxes which they're going to love. I also got them little thermos's so they can take warm food to school for lunch. They're going to be so excited!

I got to spend time (even if brief, he had to catch a bus) with my BF, and he gave me some books and a very politically incorrect video as "just because" gifts.

I had not one, not two, but THREEEEEE gentleman callers this morning!

I'm on Cloud Eleven!

Shawnee123 05-24-2007 12:28 PM

God sent me a letter, pre-sort "resident" addressed. Enclosed was a paper hanky that has been anointed with the power to CHANGE MY LIFE. All I have to do is write down what I want and put it under my pillow.

Also enclosed was a sacred, sealed, spiritual prophecy...sealed with sticky glue. Let's see here (reading) blah blah, mumble mumble...oh, here it is "do not open this prophecy until you have placed your prayer page and the prayer handkerchief back to this 56 year old church before sunset tomorrow or the next day. God will help you do this. You will see..."

CRAP, I unsealed the damn thing. Now what? Will I burn in eternal hell? Just my luck, all I've gone through in life and a damn pre-sort letter damns me to hell.

I also didn't "sow my seed gift to God's work in the amount of $_____"

Hallelujah!

Shawnee, if it's resealable... god will never know you opened it. And think of all the money you saved.

It is a good day.

The envelope said god was watching the whole thing. :worried: Don't try to fool the big guy! Plus, I kinda tore the paper in my haste to find my prophecy. Wait, why is the ground opening up beneath me? Hellpp

BigV 05-24-2007 12:50 PM

I washed the car this morning on my way to work at my local coin-op carwash. :)

I left the balance of the $10.00 in quarters from my short wash on the ledge of the coin slot. :(

This is not exactly what I had in mind as "paying it forward". :eyebrow:

Happy Monkey 05-24-2007 01:00 PM

So, since this is in the what's making you happy thread, is it that you gave the next guy a free wash??:yelgreedy

That sux, I've done it before too, as well as found change laying there. I'm prolly about even at the end of the day.

Clodfobble 05-24-2007 03:39 PM

Mr. Clodfobble had a really good interview at a possible new job this morning. If it makes him happy, it makes me happy!

I had THREEEEEE guys! And, I'm not even UP to my usual summer cruising speed ;)

Are you back in love-love again too Sky?

We need a thread dedicated to keeping me up to date with everyones love/lust interests.

Cloud 05-24-2007 09:16 PM

My closest convience store was hiding the good beer in the aisles.

Ibby 05-24-2007 11:25 PM

Dance in PE yesterday. First we did swing, which was fun - its impossible to be anything other than hyper and happy listening to swing - and then we waltzed, and I danced with the cutest girl in the entiiiire school.

Unfortunately, shes also the most in-love girl in the entire school - with the most popular kid in the grade.

bluecuracao 05-24-2007 11:29 PM

My fiance just finished painting a giant movie screen on the store wall. He still has to remove the blue tape, but it's lookin' really cool so far.

She will be here in about 1.5 hours. I met her parents weeks ago. She's meeting mine today. Awesome.

Totally Awesome!

Shawnee123 05-25-2007 02:43 PM

The weather is good. It's Friday and we leave at 4. I have a three day weekend away from the megalomaniac. Tomorrow I am planting flowers.

glatt 05-25-2007 05:39 PM

The new Star Wars stamps came out today!

30 years. Makes me feel old.

Perry Winkle 05-28-2007 01:25 PM

Yes.

Sundae 05-28-2007 01:50 PM

I've just picked up a flyer for a new take-away that delivers Japanese food. Yay!
Okay, I shouldn't really (can't afford it) but currently trying to decide between:

Chicken Katsu Super Bento Box (Chicken breast in breadcrumbs, sticky rice, pickles, vegetable salad, salmon sashimi and miso soup)
or Assorted Sushi Bento (3 crabstick maki, 3 pickle radish maki, 3 crab roes maki, 2 tiger prawn sushi, 2 egg nigri, 2 crab roes sushi, 2 salmon sushi, 2 California maki with sesame) at twice the price.

I may order neither, but just the menu is making me happy!

xoxoxoBruce 05-28-2007 02:09 PM

Go with the chicken, it sounds like it's cooked.

Sundae 05-28-2007 02:19 PM

Wouldn't you know it - I just checked the front of the menu and it says Monday- Closed.

Then right underneath that Bank Holidays Open as Usual. I am baffled - today is a Bank Holiday and Bank Holidays are only ever on a Monday. Oh except you occasionally get a Bank Holiday on Tuesday if Boxing Day falls on a Sunday (don't ask, just accept it's not relevant today).

I'm not fussed by the food not being cooked Bruce. Raw fish yumyum.
I just have to decide if I want to try ordering now - how upset will I be if I have made the decision and am all ready to order, only to get an answerphone :(

xoxoxoBruce 05-28-2007 02:30 PM

Raw seafood is the most dangerous thing you can eat, next to live Grizzly bear.

Sundae 05-28-2007 04:02 PM

I respectfully disagree.
I went for a kebab anyway, just across the road and saved myself a minimum of £4 after all.

But whooooeeeee do I have onion breath! I'm off to the kissing thread to share it around :)

Cloud 05-28-2007 04:03 PM

not having to do a fucking thing.

and that I saw Pirates 3 last night! :)

Sundae 05-28-2007 04:17 PM

What did you think?
Was there an intermission? There was in the UK and it felt really odd.
