First of all you need to have Google Desktop installed. I love this tool, but I'm a google fanboy so... what do I know. Once you *do* have google desktop installed, then you can download Countdown To Any.

Just got home from visiting Suede. He had exploratory surgery to see if they could manipulate his colon. I was not optimistic but the stuff came out with no cutting to the intestines and he was glad to see me! I hope he can come home tomorrow. Poor guy! :)

This new splash of medieval type fantasy shows that have appeared in the tv lineups.

I am fuckin lovin Camelot! What an excellent retelling of the story.

In sheer desperation, faced with a week of no new Camelot (they're having a week out) I decided to give Game of Thrones a go. It's really good!

I get the impression that there's a shift now from magic and supernatural shennanigans in the real world, to magic in a magical setting. I'd forgotten how much I love a good sword and sorcery epic.

Camelot in particular has me excited. It's such a familiar story, and like most Brits the whole Arthurian legend is something I've grown up with. This is a story we've been telling ourselves, with a few notable gaps, for over a thousand years. I love the way each generation tells the story a little differently. And how they draw on earlier tellings too. There's something utterly delightful about watching a legend you know inside out. When the expected pieces are put into place, it's a little thrill. Oh! The sword in the stone! That's how they're doing it. Brilliant... Excalibur and the lady in the lake. Click. Another piece in place.

So yeah. Good telly is making me happy :p

That's a Vermont dish. Do thay serve that in Ohio too?



What's making me happy is that I saw another woodchuck today.

Plus a tiny bunny, who is off limits :(

Spoke to another Dwellar tonight.
I should be really happy.
But just heard some realities from behind the facade and felt not only sympathy, but that just by calling from "this world" [the Cellar], I really wasn't helping.

The call ended happily because I was talking to a good person who didn't want to pass on any issues.

But my days of "cold calling" (even when I've been given numbers) are over. By all means give me a number and say "Call this week!"
If it's possible I will. Any numbers I've had for a month or more I'll discard.

I thought Monster was joking when she told me to give you my digits so I can hear you say the correct pronunciation of certain words. Why don't you use yahoo messenger or skype or such programs to talk to oversea Dwellars? Wouldn't cost a single dime to voice chat at all. I would love to give you my number, but since my schedule is so tight I wouldn't know when to ask you to call me. If you do have a messenger program, I would love to catch you on there sometimes. By the way, what would our time difference be?
