Two hours is my limit in meetings. Then I start to get really grumpy and I wonder why everyone doesn't just shut the hell up!

:)

Dealing with a meta-client (client of a client, that is) who has no idea about any sense of personal respect and decency.

squirell nutkin 04-17-2010 01:58 PM

When I was doing contracting work we had a client who would sleep late and walk around half dressed for a few hours while we tried to work. It was distressing to some of the more delicate constitutions. There is a huge difference between a 25 year old buff nugget doing that and a mid 60s person with an extra 80-90 pounds.

Shawnee123 04-30-2010 09:28 AM

Frickin' frackin' frackin' frickin' muscle spasm in my shoulder...AGAIN. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...

This means 3 days of pain, even when the spasm subsides. I get this about every couple months. It pisses me right the hell off.

Pie 04-30-2010 03:56 PM

classicman 05-05-2010 11:05 PM

Nirvana 05-05-2010 11:18 PM

xoxoxoBruce 05-06-2010 12:03 AM

Nirvana 05-06-2010 10:36 AM

Dead calf> Bowel obstruction the intestine was twisted just a freak occurrence. :(

I fookin' hate more & more people all the time.

Not getting a call from Meijer to let me know if I've got a second interview. I'm getting doubtful now.

spudcon 08-31-2010 07:16 PM

I hate it when I tease my neighbor's gila monster, and the cookie monster sneaks up and steals all my 2X4s.

You're not the only one...

Another coincidence: NYTimes article

squirell nutkin 09-01-2010 02:37 PM

dealing with morans (joke) who don't know that 3x7 cannot equal 6x3, even if you reverse the numbers.

And then being told that we're going to let them pay for 3x4 since it is cheaper than trying to explain to them that 3x4 (what they want to pay for) cannot contain 3x7, or 7x3 (which, eerily enough is the same!)

Then being told by the sales rep that I am "too complicated and technical"

Is the world populated by mentally deficient people? Did I go to some secret governmental experimental school where they did brain experiments on me and taught me basic math concepts? I mean I SUCK AT MATH. (I've told about this) But I know that 3x7, or 6x3 cannot ever equal 3x4.

The sales rep began to tell me what I need to do in order to be able to speak with the clients on their level, I interrupted her and suggested that I smoke a ton of pot and have a stroke.

FFS.
I am glad to be working though. And I'll be even gladder to be paid.

Yes.

And they are mean, too. Some stupid bitch was throwing puppies off a bridge.
I want to throw HER off a bridge.

Post #75. I didn't read it - I can't take any more cruelty to animals posts/pics.

classicman 09-01-2010 04:44 PM

Oh - DO NOT then. I now feel the same way - after seeing the damn thing.

First, to get the harsh comment out of the way ... I thought it was customary to put them in a bag first.

I can't decide who is more fucked up, the girl, or the person behind the camera who thought it would be cool to film the event.

My car is broken.. the wheel and everything attached to it PAST us whiel we were driving down the street. I can not afford this!

ZenGum 09-07-2010 09:14 AM

Is that the same car you banged into your house?

Jaydaan 09-07-2010 09:38 AM

Yes, but the bang into the garage door barely even scratched the paint on my plastic bumper. The passanger back wheel is what came off while my husband was driving. The two are totally unrelated except for the fact they happened 30 min appart!

It will not stop fucking raining! Our back porch has a couple inches of standing water already. Nevermind that we were supposed to get to take the kids out on a boat the day after tomorrow, at this point I'm starting to worry about flooding through the back door...

xoxoxoBruce 09-08-2010 01:47 AM

I'm glad that tornado missed you.

elSicomoro 09-08-2010 01:48 AM

I'm not really pissed...just...I dunno...just wish I had a better timeframe.

Basically, I will be out in Kansas City until at least the end of this month, but possibly until December. Don't get me wrong...I volunteered to stay as long as necessary. I think the bosses in St. Louis could have a better idea though.

Based on how things have been going, I'd say maybe by the middle of next month, things should be stabilized.

DucksNuts 09-08-2010 06:30 AM

Another week until I get paid!! That means I havent been paid for the past 2 weeks, the move cost me $1k more than I bargained for and I am paying rent and mortgage :::massive sad face:::

If the rain keeps up, you may not get to take the kids out on a boat the day after tomorrow, you may have to take the kids out on a boat the day after tomorrow.;)

If it gets desperate, we can send you a casserole (or something)...

was just thinking if we were in Japan, we could send you food that needs to refrigerated via Koorubin which is the cold store postage. The vans were yellow and had a huge pelican on the side. It made me smile everytime I walked past one. The normal postage was called Yukokubin (if I remember correctly)and was written in more difficult to understand hiragana and kanji.

Ohhh, is that illegal up there? Apparently it is down here....

Before I moved, I thought I would burn the rose clippings and grass clippings in my little burn pile....woke up at 5am, so got it going before daylight and as I was standing out watching it around 8am (being responsible :) ), I heard the fire alarm ...thought to myself...they are doing their usual testing as it stopped pretty quickly....I keep poking the smouldering heap and heard a fair amount of traffic noise in the street.

Poke my head around the corner of the house and BAM!!! theres 2 fire trucks, and 10 fireman out the front...they all growled at me and told me I could be fined $265 for burning in my back yard and took my details.

Apparently my neighbours complained about "toxic smoke", I dragged one of the firemen back to show him what was causing the toxic smoke, but they still growled at me.

Casi - Thank you :) I have plenty of food, fuel is a bit of an issue, but I found a $10 note in my jeans (Woot!) so we should survive until Friday and I get paid.

Yep it's illegal, but the cops don't seem to care too much as long as no one complains. They're just on the next street, so they would have been able to smell it.

They're not doing it today, so that's a blessing. I think they were burning a stump out although I'm not sure. Anyway, hopefully it's all done now.

Let me know if you need any help Ducky. I know moving is very expensive and I feel your pain. xo

I've gotten to a place in my life where I'm knowing I will not look at the video, just won't put up with a viewing like that...now, if somebody filmed the "twisted girl" being tossed in a sack and dropped in the drink, then I'd be a lot more willing to watch...

Undertoad 09-15-2010 10:24 AM

Welcome sr. Yep, I skipped this one too... I used to watch everything the Internet threw up, but comes a time...

The cat just projectile barfed in a spectacular manner under the kitchen table and on my shoes. and a piece of paper I hope was not important. Fortunately for me, beest will be home in a minute to clean it up (I don't do cat puke), so I threw the cats out so neither of them will eat it, which would make me want to blow chunks. I did rinse off the shoe. fucking cats.

but last night's barfage was so loud I reckon beest heard it from a couple of miles away anyway. feigning ignorance would have been pushing it. it's still echoing in my memory.....
