I checked at Wegmans this ... uh, yesterday morning and they do have them.
In my defense, along the back wall is about a 60 ft section of glass doors and shelves 5 ft high loaded with an amazing array of liquids. It's easy to miss things.

Griff 04-29-2020 08:03 AM

What dairy are they using down there?

xoxoxoBruce 04-29-2020 01:46 PM

I didn't notice but the bottles were exactly the same.
Hmm, I wonder if Wegmans buys the bottles then hunts a dairy close to a group of stores to fill them? There are 5 stores around here. Would cut down on a lot of costly shipping. I'll check out the dairy next time I go.

Yes! I managed to get a proper supermarket home delivery sorted out.

Delivery due Weds 13th May, so 2 weeks away. I've allowed substitutions on all, so it will be interesting to see what random nonsense they replace any out of stock items with :P

It's from Asda - which I am not mega thrilled about, am not generally a fan, but it's a delivery and its a full shop instead of the piecemeal shopping I've been doing.

Also - the Morrison's 35 food box was interesting - they skimped on the milk (2 pints to last 2 people a week - which is what they claim a food box will do) but included 2x gigantic blocks of Cathedral City extra mature cheddar.

Meat selection was decent: pack of 2 corn fed chicken breasts, a large pack of minced beef, a pack of 16 rashers of bacon and a pack of 8 very good quality sausages.

The rest: Big bag of onions, bag of carrots and a bag of new potatoes, a cucumber, a punnet of grapes, an Uncle Ben's rice sachet thingy, some toilet rolls, kitchen roll, a loaf of bread, a pack of pitta bread, tin of tuna, 2x tins of soup, a bag of penne pasta and some gravy granules.

Not bad for 35 incl. delivery.

glatt 04-29-2020 04:47 PM

Fantastic. Glad the delivery worked out for you.

Griff 04-29-2020 06:11 PM

That's a better plan.

My Texas land sold today, and I am ecstatic. It's more money that I have ever had before. After I pay off my truck, and buy a pontoon I'm to give the rest to The Lady Keryx. Who will invest it properly.

Giving the rest to Lady Keryx IS investing it properly. ;)

You should entrust the entire sum to your financial adviser or broker who will invest it for you until it has all gone. ;)

Way to go fargon!

He's happy though, and so am I. I used a pair of old dull clippers my dad used to cut my hair with when I was a kid, and a brand new barber's pair of scissors I drove an hour to purchase from a curbside pickup hair supply place.

I is!

I missed you ppl.

DanaC 05-02-2020 08:17 AM

Was a mite worried about ya dawg.

footfootfoot 05-05-2020 04:29 PM

I was helping the 75inch make a ramp/jump for his mountain biking cure and in the process of looking for a tool in the basement I found about 8 unused N-95 dust masks in their package.

I was getting worried because I have legitimate, non-covid need of these things for work and you can't get them unless you are a major donor to Trump.

monster 05-05-2020 06:38 PM

sweet!

BigV 05-05-2020 09:48 PM

I'm happy now because I've just located a document I've been scrambling to find that will be helpful as I complete my paperwork for my new job background check for my security clearance.

Moving forward again to find the next obstacle.

sexobon 05-05-2020 10:10 PM

They make you jump through all those hoops, doing all that paperwork; so, you'll have put too much effort into the process to wanna drop out of it. Then, they'll tell you about the psyche eval for which they'll make you an appointment. After that, just when you think they couldn't ask for anything more, they'll spring it on you that you need to let them take a sample of your DNA.

BigV 05-05-2020 10:39 PM

Sounds like applying for a mortgage or trying to prepare the correct treats to send to school for the Halloween party.

I'd say "I got this" but I don't. What I do have is the will to take the next step. I'm launching my initial login now. This is gonna be so. much. fun.

Sweet. This also happened to me on Saturday evening.

I was digging around through a bucket of junk, looking for some hose clamps to lock a flip-floppy lawnmower handle in place, when I stumbled upon a big ziploc bag containing half a dozen N95 masks all in their individual plastic wrapping. Also in the bag were two emergency blankets and a half dozen high intensity glow sticks.

I THOUGHT I had another stash of masks somewhere, but couldn't find them a month ago when I was taking inventory. Good thing I was looking for those hose clamps over the weekend. (found the hose clamps too, and fixed the lawnmower.)

Have you guys built a pump track yet? I'm kind of tempted.

Oh good lord... I misread: Trump Pack

Griff 05-07-2020 07:58 AM

I gotta stop typing that name.

sexobon 05-07-2020 11:55 PM

I found something to like about wearing masks in public. I can whistle at an attractive gal; then, look at the guy nearest to me and say: Stop that!

DanaC 05-08-2020 05:44 AM

Ha!

Fun times, sexobon.

What's making me happy is that my friend's mum is out of hospital and recovering.

That's actually a few days old news, but I have just been chatting to her so its on my mind.

Clearly her recovery is going well, because Clo's back to being pissed off with her :P

Griff 05-08-2020 07:09 AM

Ha! The way it should be.

BigV 05-08-2020 12:44 PM

Splendid!

I'm happy too!

glatt 05-09-2020 11:03 AM

I took a shower and am dressed before 11am. Think I might go for a long walk. Woo! Look at me all eager to take on the day.

Yesterday, I pulled my "Ministry of Silly Walks" signs to mow the lawn and put them away in the garage because I thought maybe their time was done.... but as I was standing there, some people passed and asked me if I was the one with the signs, their mom had told them about them and how much she enjoyed them every day when she went to get the mail. So I pulled them out of the garage to show them and they're back up, and this afternoon I'm redoing the feet that weren't waterproof enough to weather last night's storm and are a tad limp :D

I think the mom in question was my first "customer" and Bajaboi mentioned seeing her silly walking too

So it's OK to make her feel uncomfortable because you don't have to take responsibility

If this is addressed to Monster then the best analogy I can give is that you should imagine you are the new boy in prison, in the communal shower, and you dont know which of the inmates around you has just playfully flicked your arse with their towel.

Gravdigr 05-12-2020 10:24 AM

Sure, because that's exactly the same.

DanaC 05-12-2020 12:56 PM

I assumed that Sexobon isn't actually doing this but was making a joke

It put me in mind of a friend of mine many years ago, who would sit with his mirrored shades on indoors, and then occasionally tell someone he was watching them.

Couldn't tell where his eyes were looking. He thought it was hilarious.

Got a check from my insurance company for $42.42. Says COVID-19 Auto Premium Relief Program.

BigV 05-12-2020 05:04 PM

my "relief" check for auto insurance was for $10.

sexobon 05-12-2020 05:59 PM

$35.24, looks like xoB is buying the first round.

Griff 05-12-2020 06:15 PM

$80 between the two of us

sexobon 05-12-2020 07:05 PM

I'll have a sarsaparilla.

xoxoxoBruce 05-13-2020 07:55 AM

That for insurance on two vehicles it will be interesting to see if I hear from the other company.
They pissed me off though because I've renewed and paid for my policy April 1st for the last 54 years. This year I can only get a policy for six months because they stopped writing full year policies in PA. That renewal will come up in October at the same time as state inspection, registration renewal, and going away for 5 to 8 days.

monster 05-14-2020 02:41 AM

daughter got $21, I 've heard nothing about mine

If I'm wearing a mask AND gloves, I can grab a dumb blonde's pussy and say: Turn your head to the side and cough. She'll appreciate that she got COVID-19 tested just like the men!

Gravdigr 05-18-2020 09:37 PM

Woke up this morning and was wondering what the squrl was barking about. I had a cookie, and was kissing to the squrl, hoping he would come down outta the tree, when I thought I heard a tiny meow. I assumed it was a bird of some sort.

It was not.

I heard it again, located it out by the trailer in the yard. It was a cat (shocker, I know!). It was a black cat. It was a friendly black cat.

He isn't as slick as ol' Slick, matter of fact, he (I think it's a he) is quite hairy. So hairy, we're not sure of the sex, I've been calling him a he.

He's fairly healthy, no obvious problems. I got a tick off him. He was a little hungry. He dove face first into a bowl of left over chicken. Later, he ate a fair helping of Momdigr's left over scratch-made macaroni & cheese, which is what he will get a little later for second supper. I'll get some cat food tomorrow, if he's still here in the morning.

I think he is someone's outside cat, as he came in but was NOT comfortable with the situation.

It's 8:30ish, making his stay right about 12 hours, so far.

I told him he could stay if he wanted to.

Momdigr was talking to him and accidentally called him Slick. She looked like she'd swallowed her cud for a moment.

Every cat we've had, was a stray that adopted us.

We'll see.:fingerx:

Gravdigr 05-18-2020 09:43 PM

This is me trying not to be stoked...

Clodfobble 05-18-2020 09:47 PM

Hope Slick 2.0 works out!

BigV 05-18-2020 11:28 PM

Sweeeet!

Griff 05-19-2020 07:15 AM

Slick!

glatt 05-19-2020 08:31 AM

Nice!

So, now that it's tomorrow...

Did the cat come back,
the very next day?
