Who's this?

Chocolatl 02-27-2013 11:48 PM

Little footfootfoot?

infinite monkey 02-28-2013 08:49 AM

That does look like Little Foot, doesn't it?

glatt 02-28-2013 09:09 AM

It looks a lot like foot, but the corner of the mouth of the guy holding little foot looks like foot too. They can't both be little foot.

I'mma guess the lad is little footfootfoot, and the guy holding him is yardyardyard

infinite monkey 02-28-2013 09:13 AM

Ahhhh, yes, and with the trickery of black and white photography we are led to think it's an old timey photo. Shenanigans!

Wait, are you saying the big guy is big foot and the little guy is little foot?

glatt 02-28-2013 10:11 AM

I'm being intentional vague so I can claim victory either way.

infinite monkey 02-28-2013 10:15 AM

In other words, you're channeling foot.

footfootfoot 02-28-2013 10:57 AM

It is me at three and the corner of my dad's mouth. It's a photobooth photo

Damn you guys are good.

BigV 02-28-2013 10:59 AM

Nah, you're just so damn cute!

Chocolatl 02-28-2013 02:59 PM

The eyes were a dead giveaway, foot.

Also: I love "yardyardyard" for foot's dad. Kudos, glatt.

Gravdigr 02-28-2013 05:36 PM

I knew who it was by forehead texture.

No, he was chain chain chain.

footfootfoot 03-03-2013 07:06 PM

and my great great great great grandfather was furlongfurlongfurlong.

I imagine my descendants will be nanoparticles.

ZenGum 03-03-2013 07:26 PM

You must have fun memories of uncle RodRodRod.

I gotta admit, this is one area where the metric system is second best.

Griff 03-03-2013 08:10 PM

Is chain chain chain your only ancestor with a song? How did Aretha know him?

footfootfoot 03-03-2013 10:36 PM

My dad got around. Oddly, John Cusack is from Evanston and his dad was in the advertising biz. So was my dad and we lived in Evanston for a couple of years at about the same time. People who know Cusack and have worked with him say that he and I not only look(ed) alike but have the same mannerisms.

Another reason why I find the show Mad Men hard to watch.

Clodfobble 03-04-2013 08:46 AM

It could also mean your mom got around... do you look more like your siblings than, say, John Cusack looks like Joan Cusack? I think you'd be hard-pressed to argue that those two aren't related. Either way, I like the idea that you're a half-sibling to Jessie the cowgirl.

From the South Bronx but allegedly committed a crime in NJ

footfootfoot 03-06-2013 10:02 PM

I'll have to hunt around and post a pic of him, from the south Bronx by way of Glasgow.

xoxoxoBruce 03-07-2013 01:25 AM

Bruno Hauptmann?

A Scot from Glasgow? My grandfather came from Govan.

footfootfoot 03-07-2013 10:18 AM

No kidding? I'll have to ask my mother what part of Glasgow her dad was from.
I've never been, but it's on my bucket list.

Nirvana 03-07-2013 11:46 AM

XoB you are on fire but not quite

footfootfoot 03-07-2013 11:48 AM

Yep, if he was a snake, he'd have bit you.

Gravdigr 03-07-2013 04:38 PM

Nirv, is it Joseph Bonnano, aka, "Joe Bananas"?

Nirvana 03-07-2013 08:26 PM

Nope he was suspected of being involved with Bruno Hauptmann

footfootfoot 03-07-2013 08:53 PM

Actually, they were just good friends. ;)

Nirvana 03-07-2013 09:50 PM

I never know when to give the answer or wait...:headshake

xoxoxoBruce 03-07-2013 11:46 PM

It doesn't look like Fisch, but maybe David Wilentz.

John or Walter Knoll?

Is it Louis the IX? His spirit, anyway?

infinite monkey 03-08-2013 08:59 AM

Grav's got it, methinks. Grassy Knoll. I mean John Knoll.

How come all conspiracy theories involve a knoll?

jimhelm 03-08-2013 09:51 AM

charles lindbergh?

glatt 03-08-2013 10:47 AM

I just noticed the name is in the small caption on the photo. Was that there before?

Ok, I thought it looked like Obama, but I knew it wasn't him. So that's it? It's some unknown Moroccan actor who is playing the Devil and it's newsworthy because it looks kind of like Obama?

My first thought too, but I put it 30 years in the future when he was
reconsidering his decision to pose for that stupid Obama Man statue...

It was pretty obvious, but then I Googled the pair. According to Wikipedia, they became friends when they kept competing against each other for the same roles and were running into each other at auditions.

infinite monkey 03-21-2013 11:56 AM

I love them both!

They don't realize it's just a gun in their pocket. ;)

glatt 03-22-2013 11:55 AM

Reminds me of Wyatt Earp. But he was a "good guy" wasn't he?

xoxoxoBruce 03-22-2013 12:02 PM

The Clantons didn't think so. From everything I've read, most of the old west "heroes" were pretty shady characters, often the lessor of several evils. :eyebrow:

infinite monkey 03-22-2013 12:38 PM

Hey foot, a good beer name would be Wyatt Urp. Needs work. Something along those lines. A whole product line of wild west legends. Bock Holliday. Belle's Pale Ale. Wild Bill Hiccup.

In researching my material for the above 'not nearly as funny as it could be' post, I figured out who that guy is, btw.

I won't tell though. Would be like cheating.
