Really depends on your personality and lifestyle. I got my ipad to play games on the train and it's great for that.

But I also have read a bunch of free books in iBooks.

I've watched a lot of TV episodes on Netflix.

It's a bit big for an ipod, but I've got most of my mp3s on mine. I've set up playlists for parties and plugged it into computer speakers.

Open up the app store and poke around through the popular stuff. You're bound to find something that interests you. And most of the apps are inexpensive.

I mean, I don't have an iPad. But a friend of mine loves it for porn so much, that he invented a flexible holder for it, so he didn't have to hold it up with one hand.

I put out a call for help a few days ago and the response just overwhelmed me. I am blessed to have a circle of people around me that love and care in the honest way that we all really need.

Fathers Day on Sunday. And I'm being treated to lunch out. How does that work?!
I am in their good books tho, I found them a hotel on the internet, when they couldn't remember the name, or the chain, or the exact location. Sadly, it was already booked up, but they have a new hotel in a new location and I've helped them by finding a Wetherspoons nearby :)

Me: A weekend of nieces. Tonight is the 6 year old's t-ball game and then birthday party. (Turning 6 on Monday...god she's so freaking awesome!!!!!!!!) On Sunday it's Father's Day AND me, mom, sis-in-law, and the three girls (ages 9 almost 10, just turned 8, and soon to be 6) are going to The Lion King.

Mom and I saw it in Columbus. Sis-in-law and brother saw it in London, but this'll be a first for the girls. The two older ones have seen their share of shows, most recently Phantom, but we think this will be a good one for the 6 year old's first show.

Soooooooooo excited.

I think Dad and the guys will enjoy Father's Day hanging out...or playing golf...!

I took my ex-husband to see Beauty and the Beast musical. I hated Disney, he loved it. It was probably the highlight of our married life - the production values were so high and the stars so perfect (John Barrowman played the Beast in a later cast). We were both so happy that night.

I am still wary of Disney - I'd prefer to see Warhorse for example - but how wonderful for a child to see such a well produced show as her first.

My first West End show was Oliver! but we were sitting in the Gods and I was terrified of the steps. I adored the music though - some of the songs are still among my favourite songs from shows even today.

Good on your family for starting them early.

I completely agree about Disney. Never been a big fan, but yeah...the production of The Lion King is so amazing, and I've seen a show or two. My mom and I were lucky to be split up but on the aisle seats, me behind her...and the beginning was so amazing she looked at me and we were both teary. (We're suckers like that.) ;)

Seeing well-knowns in a show is cool too. Mom and I saw Camelot with Richard Harris...years ago.

I think the first proper west end show I ever saw was Les Miserables. When it first started, our English class did a trip to London to see it.

I just googled...that was 25 years ago!
