PCs suck!

I am so fed up with the complaints from the CFO that I am going to buy her a MAC. Here's a toast to ya kid.

skysidhe 06-06-2010 11:57 AM

I bought a 19" high footstool and put it together myself. Why does this make me happy? Because sitting back on my couch my feet do not touch the floor. Now I can put them up! and that makes me happy!

Cloud 06-06-2010 12:31 PM

I love my Aqua Jogger! Dug it out, dug the swimming suit out, fired up the iPod shuffle and put it in it's little waterproof headset thingy, and jogged in the pool for half an hour.

boy, am I wiped!

TheDaVinciChode 06-06-2010 12:34 PM

Well, the weather's hot/sticky, so, not that.

I've got an in-grown toenail (or something) which is itchy as feck, so, not that.

My brother brought his new puppy over, which proceeded to pee on my floor, so, not that.

... but, I just got a couple of bottles of Coke, from the store... so, that! (And, being such a delicious beverage, it over-rides any crappy events that have transpired over the course of this day! Viva La Coke!)

skysidhe 06-06-2010 12:38 PM

lol @ viva la coke. I like that :D

@ cloud. Never heard of the Aqua Jogger. I'm glad you had a good time in the pool.
It's raining again today. No pool for me plus I am not so keen on sharing it with the wild ducks anyway.

Want to give me the rain? I'll swap for my sun. (I hate hot weather... I miss the rain!)

Stormed, last night... just made everything even worse. Bring on winter!

(Also - Wild Ducks + Plum Sauce = Full Belly... Ain't nothin' wrong with wild ducks in your yard!)

Cloud 06-06-2010 12:46 PM

Nothing quite like a cold coke on a hot day. Supposed to be 109 degrees today.

this is the aqua jogger, a product I wholeheartedly endorse:

http://www.amazon.com/AquaJogger-Act...5846371&sr=8-5

skysidhe 06-06-2010 12:51 PM

DaVinci- Yes I will trade anyone my rain for a 109 degree day!

If the world ever comes to an end I will remember the plum sauce because I will know where to find good eats!

Cloud. I don't know if I have the discipline for those. I am making my way up to 5 minutes on the stationary bike. lol and I bought an Iron Gym.

I am wondering if I should insert a blushing emoticon right about now. * chuckling*

Cloud 06-06-2010 12:54 PM

oh, but it's so easy! The water lifts you up. You don't think you're working hard, but you are! it's like dancing in the water (and dancing is the bulk of what I do for exercise, so it works out great)

skysidhe 06-06-2010 12:55 PM

sounds great cloud :)

Totally agree. I even keep my glass in the fridge, for 10-30 minutes, before I pour it!

Water Workout seems like a great way to exercise, also... if you can swim. :thepain:

Finish an Aqua Job, with a chilled glass of ice-cold Coke, and you're good to go.

(Followed, of course, by a BBQ... and then more working out, to counter all the calories you just loaded on. :p: )

I'll have my people, call your people... We'll try to work something out!

Akasha 06-06-2010 03:52 PM

Had a decent conversation with my father today. Could be the start of a better relationship. Might just be because it was over the phone, but It made me happy anyway.

Jaydaan 06-06-2010 04:58 PM

My business is getting closer and closer to being operational. We just got Pay pal up and going today! We have a home party for 20ish people in an hour that I hope does very very well.
Hubby is hoping to leave his job in 3 months and work on the business. No more stupid hours and 4-6 hour shifts!

skysidhe 06-06-2010 06:08 PM

hehehe I wish it were that simple davinci.

Good for you Jaydaan! Job security is a great feeling.

TheDaVinciChode 06-06-2010 06:59 PM

Just convinced myself to move to my fridge, and poured myself another glass of Coke.

Whilst my glass is no longer cold - the Coke is VERY cold! :D

BigV 06-06-2010 07:00 PM

It has not rained since 11 am. I'm going to try to cut some grass.

yes they Recline , and there is a Rocker recliner that came with the couch ,
Verry Nappable !!!

HungLikeJesus 06-06-2010 09:57 PM

A reclining toilet is a brilliant idea. If I had a front porch I'd build one.

Plumb one into the T.V room. Affix a comfortable seat, as well as a mini-fridge, and you're good to go!

Cloud 06-06-2010 10:44 PM

I've always thought an outdoor toilet with a view would be cool; not like a nasty outhouse, but like the trend of outdoor showers.

Tulip 06-07-2010 12:28 AM

My mom's old acquaintance came to visit today. They haven't seen each other for 35 years or so. The women said she remembers that my mom has two daughters. When I served the tea, my mom pointed to me and introduced me, telling her I'm 41. Her mouth dropped and said, "That's your daughter?!? I thought she's your daughter's daughter." It was nice to receive a compliment once in a while. :D

xoxoxoBruce 06-07-2010 12:30 AM

Well you do look like a teenager, ya know.;)

Clodfobble 06-07-2010 07:41 AM

Seriously Tulip, you're 41? Damn, chica. You don't look it, not at all.

TheMercenary 06-07-2010 08:19 PM

Life is good.

TheDaVinciChode 06-07-2010 08:56 PM

Full glass of Coke.

What more can a guy ask for, at 2:56am?

HungLikeJesus 06-07-2010 10:36 PM

But it was 7:56 pm when you wrote that.

Let's hope it's the start of a trend.

Welcome, Akasha.

Thanks, Clodfobble. :D I'm actually only 40 yrs. old. Vietnamese tack a year to newborns since they're been growing for 9 months. Only the older, traditional Vietnamese people still observe this practice. Unfortunately, my mom is old and traditional. :right:

HungLikeJesus 06-09-2010 10:33 PM

I've had the Boogie Monster song, by Gnarls Barkley, stuck in my head since you posted the tornado thread.

I got a monster in my closet
Someone's underneath my bed
The wind's knocking at my window
I'd kill it but it's already dead

It waits till the midnight hour to come
To torture me for the wrong that I've done
It just sits there and stares at me
And it won't let me get any sleep
(Just let me sleep)
