Thanks! :)

Oh, and the new job is official. And it's not the original job I applied for...I was going to be doing similar work, but will now be in a permanent position with more responsibility, better pay and benefits.

That damn wife of mine can't stand to let me have all the fun...

She got a promotion at her job today...it has been in the pipeline for a while. A management position, more responsibility, more travel, more money and an office.

I'm so proud of her...she works so hard. And I'm glad we finally have luck like the wind at our back. It's been a tough year. :yelsick:

Sweet!

I've been seeing little signs all around that the economy is slowing improving.

Last month, I got my first cost of living increase in a few years. It was small, but fuck yeah! A raise is a raise.

On the other hand, I saw an article in the paper a week or so ago that the average US checking account balance has gone from something like $700 pre-recession to something like $3,000 today. People are still afraid to spend money. But having increased savings on hand has got to be a good thing for the country, right?

I would love nothing more than to see most of the banking industry take a dive. And if I had the money, I would buy a Dave Ramsey book for every American.

Of course that means your Wheaties have gone up even more. But you're better off than the Wheaties eaters that didn't get a raise. ;)
