Small beer compared to yours, but I've just found the missing tape measure.
Yay!
Diz must have batted it under the printer, can't imagine how it ended up there otherwise.

Its inexplicable disappearance has been puzzling me for DAYS!

lol oh I totally get that. Nothing winds me up more than losing stuff. I obsess for weeks sometimes until I find it.

This is one of the reasons I love America -you can return stuff to the stores for a refund without reason. So if I lose stuff, I pop down to Walmart, buy a replacement and bingo! When I get home the missing item reappears in a very obvious place. So I use it, nail it down for next time and return the unused product :D

DanaC 06-17-2009 08:08 PM

Really? That's awesome. No having to prove it wasnt 'of merchantable quality'?

SteveDallas 06-17-2009 09:09 PM

Yeah, with some exceptions, most stores here take returns pretty liberally.

I found some sleeping aids that should help little Max.

and then some. If I shop for beest clothes and ain't sure about the sizing, I buy the one I think and one either side on the credit card, take them home for him to try and then return the other two which will get credited back to the card same billing cycle. shopping American rocks.

Clodfobble 06-17-2009 10:40 PM

My stepmom used to do clothes for me that way when I was a kid, because I hated shopping. She'd go pick out ten dresses, bring them home for me to try on, and return 8-9 of them the next day.

monster 06-17-2009 10:50 PM

it works.

SteveDallas 06-17-2009 10:55 PM

It's a nice strategy if it works. If we did that with my daughter we'd be taking all 10 of them back!

TheMercenary 06-17-2009 10:57 PM

I turned down the bike today.

DanaC 06-17-2009 10:57 PM

Why what did it propose?

TheMercenary 06-17-2009 10:59 PM

It proposed nothing. The dealer, however, proposed that I take it home.

monster 06-17-2009 11:00 PM

why does that make you happy?

TheMercenary 06-17-2009 11:04 PM

Because they didn't make troll bikes. They are all way to big for my short boney legs. And besides, they didn't come with billy goat trailers.
