The accepted fact (myth?) was that the P-38's whose little knife opened and closed easily (by gravity) was superior to the ones that had to be pried and pushed and would last much longer.
I still have a few that I kept with that belief in mind.

Begging your pardons, I should have introduced myself before jumping in. I am Buffaloguy on the VTF but I have to be Hopalong here.
The forum was recommended by a good friend, I felt at home right away.

It is teh awesome.

I finally found and tried the original Ale8one. "The best of the Bluegrass in green glass" it says.

Made w/real ginger (make some w/real Mary Ann!!!), not overpowering, but, there is plenty of it. Not a whole lot of carbonation, but that's one of their selling points. Kinda like a flat-ish Sprite with ginger ale poured in it. You can definitely taste/feel the ginger.

Pretty good, but nothing to lose ya mind over. The cherry is much better.

My last few batches of kombucha have been ginger. Good stuff, but it may be time for a change up.

I just ordered a new pair of glasses for Minifob, whose graveyard of broken glasses has finally slowed its growth to just one every 18-24 months. For a while, we lived in a world where one backup pair wasn't enough, because he might break those in the 3 weeks it took for the backup's new backup to arrive. As you can imagine, I'm a big fan of the Chinese websites that sell perfectly good frames and lenses for $20 total.

Anyway, in addition to the custom-cut sunglasses clip-ons for any pair, they now offer a custom-cut pair of 3D lens clip-ons, so you can watch 3D movies without the inconvenience of wearing glasses-over-your-glasses. For $3.95? Hell yes, I will.

All the Zojirushi products I have gotten have been quality. This travel mug is one of them. It never leaks, it keeps stuff hot for a long time, the opener is sturdy, and you can lock it shut to make sure you don't pour coffee on your stuff. I use the 20oz, and it is a big tall thing, but I guess that's so the vacuum insulation can keep everything as hot as possible. It works.
