Yeah, I'm wary of soy.

But you reckon they'd name the sprog after the pope?

Never liked him, but didn't say so at the time.
And There's Rolf Harris. He always gave me the creeps. but I forgot to mention it before his arrest and now he's convicted

I think that Lumosity is not so much 'brain-training' as it is some sort of mind control or experimentation ploy.

I train my brain all the time, with books and movies and crosswords and word games and other sorts of games. But I need Lumosity to give me feedback and keep track of my mental functioning? Um, no thanks.

I'd forgotten about this thread so thanks monster for posting in it. It became very pertinent after I read about the recent BaceFook experiment. (My BaceFook account is de-activated.) I've been thinking for a long time about my Lumosity theory and I think one day I'll come back here with an "I told you so."

Yesterday's Hobby Lobby decision will...

A- increase abortions. If women don't want children, they will not have children, one way or another.

2) increase taxes. The gubmint is considering directly paying for birth control for those women, and unwanted births are likely to cause the need for additional healthcare spending by the gubmint.

III: increase healthcare insurance cost. Healthcare insurance companies will be paying more for all the costs involved in birthing and rearing a child.

and/or

four/ cause society to crumble. Many women use birth control pills to mitigate PMS and other hormonal issues. Without this chemical control, women will, on a monthly basis, rip the world a new one.

I disagree with the decision, but I don't think it will have much of an impact at all. The birth control "mandate" was a relatively recent thing so it's not like a long standing benefit is being taken away. Most health insurance companies and employers will continue to provide birth control coverage because it saves them money and makes them look generous.

This will impact a small number of employees who work for wacko family run businesses. And birth control is relatively affordable anyway, so most of them will just get it on their own.

Before I got snipped, my wife had to pay out of pocket for birth control pills because they weren't covered then. No big deal.

The only reason this is news is because it's the principle of the thing.

Hobby Lobby knows it's the principle of the thing, too. They actually used to cover birth control, and only stopped recently so they could be part of the lawsuit. If it weren't them, it would most likely have been Chick-Fil-A, I imagine.

Hobby Lobby covers Viagra and vasectomies.

I'm not even going to expand my comment, there is no reason to, it's all right there.

They're probably in the V aisle with vaginas, velvet and vermillion paint.
