Looking for voices

A friend of mine is looking for volunteer voices for a game he is making as part of his games degree course.

The game is set in occupied Iraq. He is looking for (I believe) male Arabic speakers, another American male voice and female Arabic (ability to pronounce; not necessarily fluent speech and understanding).

I'm guessing most likely to be found here is 'American male' *smiles*

Anyone interested in helping out, PM me for further details.

I'm guessing he'd have much better luck listening for voices, but then I'm very old fashioned.

What's the game about? If it's not terribly offensive, I can pass on word to my Arabic speaking friends.

What University is your friend at? I know that at Newcastle you could find all of the Arab speakers (or any other language, for that matter) you could ever need around the University's international student accommodations.

@ Perry. He's at Bradford Uni. He did have most of the needed arabic speaking actors, including a girl for the main female Iraqi role, but some have dropped out due to their own extensive uni commitments and the girl backed out when she realised it was a computer game. Shame. She'd read the script having misunderstood the purpose of the project; absolutely loved the script (she's from Iraq)then discovered it wasnt a short film as she'd mistakenly believed but a game and she couldn't bring herself to do it. The fact that it's a game made it too trivial for her, I think. That's fair enough, this stuff is likely to be very raw for her.

The game is not offensive. At least, I don't think it is. It doesn't demonize, nor does it excuse. It explores issues around insurgency and occupation.

If you have arabic speaking friends who might be interested, that'd be amazing.

Also still looking for at least one more American male voice

Bumping this:

As well as the voices I've alredy mentioned, we're also looking for a man who can either speak Russian or pull off a reasonable russian accent. This is for a different project, but still for the same degree course. This one is based around the space race.
