When I read this on Yahoo today I was overwhelmed with a vision of how this would work out. I'm assuming that this is going to work like a wedding, but instead of bridge/groom seating it's going to be left/right seating on, well, the left and the right.
Of course, if you go by the idea that opposites attract, maybe in a few months you're going to be reading the wedding announcement of Moonbeam Sunflower Weintraub and Nathaniel Bedford Forrest Hickey. So if the South secedes (again) and New England secedes, each creating their own nations (Crackertonia and Pinkotopia), that would put us Mid-Atlantic states right in the middle.

It would be a real downer if you were a neocon living in Pinkotopia or a liberal living in Crackertonia. I wonder if they would work out something where people could move to the new country of their choice or would they just build a big wall around the South, for example, and not let anyone in or out? It sounds like it could get very complicated, but its an interesting thought.

Mr.Show did a sketch where a "hate group" meeting, of all races and orientations, etc. planned to slice up the country into little regions where people could live with their own kind.
Through a series of humorous compromises, "Operation: Hell on Earth" ended up consisting of a van parked in the middle of the desert, playing "Caribean Queen" ...which the news media reported on under the heading of "Ocean in the Desert" ... I guess you had to see it.
