And so, we're bombing Syria, carefully

Doing the right thing, as we so often do: shooting at and trying to cripple an undemocracy. Give them everything reeking tube and iron shard can deliver.

www.bbc.com

Trump could get my vote after something like this. Wouldn't that just help to jam a big ragged-nailed thumb right in the collective, collectivist eye of the American Left!

This VOX article goes to extremes to find tendentious fault with the whole thing. One really has to wonder just why they think the objections they're raising -- to pasting a dictatorial régime, remember -- are legitimate, condign, or indeed anything but dictatorship-supporting.

Exact same reasoning also justified the useless death of 50,000 Americans in Vietnam. And another 5,000 in Mission Accomplished.

We can, however, justify it as supporting the international commitment opposing chemical weapons usage.

... which is using military force for a justified purpose. Not hyping military ventures as if a big dic justifies action.

Some will argue that "means justify the ends". Spin constantly used back then to justify the massacre of 50,000 Americans in Vietnam.

Bomb them because socialists are devils. Bomb them because the government is a dictatorship. That always was classic big dic reasoning.

You never knew what love is. You love nothing now. You're for nothing -- against all worthy things. I'd tell you to go to hell, but that's redundant, seeing as you live in a hell already of your own, careful brick-by-brick construction. You are an amateur blight upon humanity and humanity's aspirations to live a free and full adult life, which tyrannies repress -- amateur in the sense that you receive no pay.

You are also an arrant and toxic boor, sometimes respelled with a final b, who is stupid enough to regard unpatriotism as a virtue, which tells anyone all they need ever to know about tw. Die. Die twice. Hell, go for a thousand deaths. But not before you pee on your mother's grave for birthing you, you miserable son of a bitch.

And of course, you lack the mind to grasp the libertarian mentality: tyranny must die, always. When it is put to death so shall be mankind's greatest self-inflicted wound. Is this less than logic?
